• 250 watt High Pressure Sodium (HPS) streetlight lamp consists of a 250 watt bulb plus the ballast which consumes greater than 38 watts of energy = 238 watts energy consumption.
Average maintenance and replacement costs of one street light:
The Street light lamp bulb is replaced every three years (3.0 years) = $200 (labor) +$50 (bulb) + $5 (waste mgt.) = $255 every 3 years or $85 / yr. The ballast is replaced every 5 years at a cost of $350 (ballast + labor + waste mgt.) or $70/yr. The fixture/aluminum head is replaced every 18 years at a cost of $425 or $23.61 per year. Therefore, the average maintenance and replacement cost per year is $178.61. Over the lifespan equivalent of a LED street light of 50,000 (13.7 years), the cost savings of maintenance / replacement of one current HPS street light is: 13.7 x $178.61/yr. = $2446.96

LED T8EX 4ft Tube External Driver Series
HPL Technologies uses an external driver for their tubes systems. This provides a system designed for maximum life and consistent performance. With an external driver you separate the heat produced by both the LED chips and driver and greatly reduce the accelerated wear on both components. Each tube is driven on its own channel and is not affected by the other tubes in the system.
HPL Technologies uses current production top of the line LED Chips. Not all chips are the same and this is evident in CRI, lumen output and depreciation. Our chip boards are designed and configured to dissipate maximum heat while providing a seamless distribution of light. We also under drive our chips from the recommended mA current provided by the chip manufacturer to control the amount of heat produced by the chips.

This versatile LED fixture was designed for direct replacement of HID lighting in any industrial or commercial application. This fixture is available with multiple optic options and can be customized to provide equal illumination for any application.
HPL Technologies Highbay series is the only fixture on the market specifically designed for high mast lighting. It is engineered with open lighting modules to reduce the effect of air currents that are present at extreme heights on its EPA. Its also has a mounting that balances its weight inward thereby reducing the leverage exerted on the mounting pole. Along with its high lumen output and Remco and Philips Advance drivers, the HPL Highbay will replace any HID high mast lighting.
Whether you require 24 hour operation or full DALI controls for maximum energy savings, HPL Technologies can design a lighting system to fit your specific needs.
