Highlights & Memorable Moments

SPARKS is a new Onboarding programme in the Ready Employee Series. It aims at improving acculturation of entry-level graduates in EHA/ CGH and affirming their choice of Public Healthcare. We aim to inspire & motivate them to contribute more here with Passion & Empathy.

Fact: 26 participants (AHP, Nursing, Admin) attended the inaugural run, on 23-24 May 16, Abacus Plaza. Frequency: Quarterly. Insight: Entry-level graduates are a high attrition group (ave. service length is 2-3 years).

HRD facilitators Gracia Lim and Diane Lopez starting off the morning with objectives and quick ground rules.

Participants got into the swing of things – searching for their partners in this Icebreaker on “Paired Opposites” (e.g. Yin / Yang)

Teams discuss how individuals have changed the outcome, by viewing the situation in a new light.

Rapt in discussion on why teams succeed.

Participants were grouped into various team formations, fostering interactivity, over the course of 2 days.

These leaders are having a sneak peek at a Mystery Object before describing it back to their teams!

Diane keeps them cued in to the rules.

Mission accomplished. Teams share a light

moment before Debrief.

Why do we view the world so differently ? Gracia Lim (HRD) facilitates session on personality types.

Participants have great fun discussing their “Type” and how they tend to react to “Other Types”.

After lunch, participants chill and informally catch up with each other on the Site Visits that morning.

Teams shared their “Meaningful Act of Service” with the class. This team took a creative approach in helping some public members in need.

This team shares learning points and humorous experiences at Pharmacy A.

The afternoon flows into the 4th Part of the Programme. In “Up Close & Personal”, facilitated by Diane Lopez

(HRD), participants hear from 2 peers, on self-leadership.

Diana Yu Diana Yu and Adeline Wong Adeline Wong share what keeps their inner fire burning within.

Moving on.

Planning my Contribution @ EHA/ CGHA 10-page Journal Planner was designed, to guide

participants in making a contribution here (in next 3 years).

A facilitated process was conducted in-class to complete the Planner.

This activity allowed individual reflection & consolidation from the Programme.
