    INTRODUCTION

    PROBLEM DEFINITION:

    Flight Management System (FMS) is a system

    software used by pilots for flight planning, navigation,

    trajectory predictions, performance management,aircraft guidance, and flight progress monitoring.

    FMS generates a complete flight profile from the origin

    to the destination airport with all lateral, vertical, and

    aircraft performance elements

    The FMS sends control outputs to control elements to

    fly the generated profile.

    The Scope Of the project is to develop a HMI(Human Machine Interface) for FMS.

    The pilot can interact with CDS designed usingA661 widget and protocol library.

    Navigation Display, Digital MAP in the crews

    cockpit display unit.To enable the crew to interact with the data

    displayed on the cockpit display unit.

    - Facade_fm (external interface)

    It is a package that will abstract the FMS core software bygathering and updating data for display and also provide a

    centralized access point to FMS commands.

    -A661(external interface)

    it is a package that will abstract A661 widgets structure and

    events. it will also realize the A661 protocol communicationmanagement with CDS.

    -Structure (internal interface)

    it is a package which gathers all classes and patterns needed to

    support the HMI CSCI development.

    It is a package deals with the textual pages (FM format)

    Management. This package has been set in order to contain all

    necessary objects to manage textual formats for the pages in the

    Thales Avionic (THAV) scope.

    -Textual_ST (internal interface)

    It is a package deals with the textual pages (FM format)

    Management. This package has been set in order to contain all

    necessary objects to manage textual formats for the pages in the

    Sub-contractor (ST) scope.

    -Graphical (internal interface)

    It is a package deals with the graphical pages (ND,TD,DMAP,FKD)

    Management. This package has been set in order to contain all

    necessary objects to manage graphical map formats.
