During the 2017-18 school year, students from Pinon Hills Elementary, Pinon Mesa Middle School, Serrano High School, and Snowline Academy participated in National History Day events at both the local and county levels. Their projects were developed throughout the year and allowed students the opportunity to research and learn about local, state, national, and world historical topics. This year’s NHD theme was Conflict and Compromise. Eleven Snowline students advanced to the state competition in Rocklin, California. Snowline's first annual Young Poets showcase had 33 students submit poetry entries. They will be recognized at the May 22 Board of Trustees meeting. The students' poems will then be entered for judging in this year's Wrightwood Literary Festival.
