You will have a record of accomplishment of delivering to modern UX design paradigms. You will be highly proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks and other web based UI technologies. You will back up an excellence in UI Design with the developer ability to deliver prototype and production components. Job Function Tasks Design and development of highly usable user interfaces for desktop and mobile web based applications, producing wireframes, prototypes and finished product from creative concepts and ideas. Production and ownership of UI standards and patterns. Ensuring and promoting high quality web applications through the delivery of complete, standardised, consistent and business relevant UI and UX designs. Understand and adhere to organisation’s development processes. Use of Rational Team Concert to manage iterations, source code and tasks, including iteration plans, workflow and work item progress. Timely delivery of sprint tasks to achieve the sprint goal. Actively participate in Release Planning, Sprint Iteration Planning, Sprint Review and Retrospective meetings. Resolution of Support issues, including clear and timely communication to customers. Work as part of a team and support the team’s performance goals. Mentor and provide advice to colleagues where necessary. Areas of Responsibility Production and ownership of the company UI standards including navigation elements, templates, graphics and icons. Creation of reusable widgets and componentry. Working with product stakeholders to translate vision and concept into demonstrable and adaptable user interface presentations.

• Communicating the benefits of particular UI designs to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Creation of promotional materials, across a variety of media including brochures and artwork.

Essential Skills

• You will be highly proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks and other web based UI technologies.

• Complete understanding of product lifecycle.

• Proficiency with visual design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Balsamiq.

• Proven experience developing UI for commercial web based software application.

• Prototyping, wireframes, storyboards, mock-ups and ‘clickware’.

• Previous experience of Browser compatibility issues.

• Responsive design and working with mobile-first objectives.

• Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and users.

• Working with other UI developers.

• A passion for producing intuitive easy to use software.

• Expert knowledge of interface and interaction design.

• Experience and knowledge of UX best practices

• Experience of usability evaluation methods.

• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate to both a technical and non-technical audience

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of UK Health and Social Care market.

• Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum development environment and working within sprint teams.

• Experience with source code control and defect tracking systems, preferably Rational Team Concert.
