Policies and Procedures
Utah Valley University Testing Services
UVU Testing Services Location and Parking Information UVU Testing Services physical
address is 1165 West 800 South Orem, UT 84058. The building is located in the North portion of Wolverine Services (WS).
To park on campus as a student you must register your vehicle with Parking Services.
If you are not a student, park in the student lot across the street and contact Parking Services at 801-863-8188 to let them know you need to take an exam. They will ask for your license plate number, the make, and model of your car.
The small lots on the immediate sides of the Wolverine Service building are for Faculty and Employee parking only.
UVU Testing Services Building
For checking in for the ALEKS please go to: WS-112 located on the Lakeside portion of the building.
In order to test with Testing Services, you must agree to abide by our testing policies and procedures.
Identification
Current and valid school or government ID must be presented prior to taking a test.
Cell Phones/Electronics
All cell phones and electronics must be powered off and put away prior to receiving a test.
Any prohibited use of cell phones or electronics during an exam may be subject to termination of the test, or a penalty fee may be charged for disrupting the testing environment.
Suspicious Behavior
If you have any writing on yourself, do your best to remove it prior to testing. If the proctor sees any markings on you it will be investigated and your test may be stopped.
We reserve the right to investigate any suspicious behavior.
COVID-19 Procedures
Provide YOUR OWN MASK. Your mask is REQUIRED during testing.
Wash your hands before taking your exam.
Keep a social distance of 6ft whenever possible.
If you are feeling unwell and have symptoms such as fever, nausea, chest pains, or cough please refrain from coming to take your exam. You can reschedule your exam for another day.
We are providing a safe environment: Our staff will be wearing
masks when nearby clients.
Staff will do their best to maintain 6ft safe distance.
We will be sanitizing each desk after a tester finishes their exam.
Our testing rooms have been reconfigured to provide 6ft distance from other potential testers.
Food and Drinks/Restroom Breaks
The consumption of food or drink is not allowed in any testing room.
If you need to get a drink, snack, or use the restroom raise your hand in the testing room and we will be happy to provide an escort for you.
All testing and personal items including any electronic devices must stay in the testing room.
Personal Items and Bags
Sunglasses may not be worn while testing.
Hoods of any type may not be worn while testing.
Any and all items or bags brought into the testing center must fit and remain under the desk while testing.
Hats and Beanies will be inspected prior to testing and if they have a bill it must be worn backwards while testing or put under the desk.
During Testing
You may raise your hand to ask the proctor a question, however our proctors are not allowed to clarify any test material or help answer test questions in any way.
The only testing aids that will be permitted will be the ones specified to you at check in.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the test aids, be sure to ask before testing.
After Testing
Follow proctor instructions for check out.
Any questions can best be answered by advisors, departments, admissions, registration, or the agency you are testing for. We will try to direct you to the best source if you are unsure.
