FCM COURSE
This 7 week course provides an integrative review of all basic science course materials taught during the first 2 years of a 4-year MD program. The course is 5-days/week and will meet for a minimum of 6 hours/day. The objective is to prepare you to pass your USMLE Step 1 exam and prime you for your clinical education.
USMLE Study Guide & Test Information
The USMLE Step 1 examination is a multiple-choice question exam that evaluates your comprehension of basic science knowledge. The Step 1 exam requires a strong knowledge base in the fundamentals of organ systems, an understanding of normal and abnormal processes, and disease process of specific pathology.
The Step 1 covers the following categories:
Anatomy
Behavioral sciences
Biochemistry
Biostatistics and epidemiology
Microbiology
Pathology
Pharmacology
Physiology
The above material is tested either as basic science ques-tions or as questions referring to individual organ systems.
