The E-911 Division became under the direction of the IT Department GIS Office in March 2004.

The Uniform Addressing System Ordinance was rewritten in May 2006.

The E911 Division assigns Addresses and Street Names within the unincorporated areas of Putnam County, Town of Interlachen, Pomona Park, Town of Welaka, and the City of Palatka

The E-911 Division maintains the ALI (Automatic Location Identification) database which is what is shown to 911 call takers.

The E-911 Division maintains the MSAG (Master Street Address Guide) Database which contains valid street names and address ranges . This ensures that the ALI database has valid information.
