Why Essential Oils?

• Essential Oils (EO’s) can DESTROY harmful fungi/molds, viruses, & bacteria. While being deadly to pathogenic microbes, they are harmless and helpful to the human body.

• (EO’s) can adaptogenically (intelligently balance) act like human hormones to keep our organs and bodily functions in balance. (EO’s) can aid and prompt our bodies to produce hormones we are in need of.

• (EO’s) can elevate our bodily frequencies helping us to stay healthy and immune to diseases. (EO’s) vibrations resonate with our tissues in helpful ways according to our mind’s (wishes, prayers, meditative) intentional directions.

continued• Essential Oils (EO’s) are natures most powerful anti-oxidants which

cleanse free radicals from our body systems. This helps maintain a state of balance and can extend our life spans creating longevity.

• (EO’s) work directly in our limbic (emotional center) of our brains. They cross the blood brain barrier helping to clear negative feelings, and blocked emotions, thus helping to eliminate the root causes of many diseases and conditions.

• (EO’s) support and increase our intuitive powers, increase memory acuity, and sharpen spiritual awareness (by affecting both left and right temporal lobes). This is why religious entities use (EO’s) and incense in prayer & sanctuaries all over the world. * All six points from Dr David Stewart.

Bacterial Infections

• Inner Defense 3 x per day with food or tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil.

• Dr Friedman’s Anti-biotic Blend Recipe (I like to still take 1 Tbsp extra virgin coconut oil with this to avoid stomach upset). In a capsule add:

• 2 Drops of Frankincense

• 6 drops of Oregano

• 12 drops of Thieves blend

• Dr Friedman says to take 3x per day till a full day of feeling well is done.

Allergies

• It is impossible to have an allergic reaction to a distilled essential oil because allergies are immune responses to proteins, peptides, and amino acids, of which none are found in distilled essential oils because these do not survive the distillation process. However, expressed oils, such as citrus, as well as solvent extracted oils, such as Jasmine, Neroli, or Onycha, along with blends containing carriers, such as Valor which contains Almond oil, can cause allergic reactions. One can be allergic to carrier oils because they do contain traces of protein and polypeptides. Rashes following the use of distilled essential oils are detox reactions. For a complete discussion of rashes and other reactions to oils, see the book, The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple, Chapter 12. Available at www.RaindropTraining.com

Allergy Help

• The EODR (Essential Oils Desk Reference) LAVENDER is a natural antihistamine that can be applied topically, diffused, and taken internally. One of the fastest ways to stop an asthma or allergy attack is to place one drop of lavender on the thumb and place on the roof of the mouth. Hold the thumb in place for 2-3 minutes. It is also helpful to then take a capsule of lavender every few hours for then next 24 hours or until all symptoms are gone.

NOTE: If the allergy response is severe, the capsules can be repeated every 15 minutes.Lavender is one of the most complex essential oils, containing hundreds of different constituents to bring the body to balance while being gentle to the skin and the entire body.

Bruises• Bruises: We all get them from minor to

major

• At 76, this woman tripped and fell face-first onto concrete with her glasses on.

The picture on the left was the result after only a few minutes. She immediately grabbed her Young Living essential oils of Cypress, PanAway, and Helichrysum and applied these 3 oils topically to the area and around the area. The picture on the right was taken THREE DAYS later. Each day she applied these 3 oils topically and liberally at least 2-3 times. Without the immediate application, continuous application, and powerful healing properties of these oils, her face would have undoubtedly remained black and blue for weeks, as it slowly healed.

Cypress: Aids in circulation and strengthens blood capillary wallsPanAway: Contains Wintergreen-99% methyl salicylate, giving it cortisone-like properties, Helichrysum, Clove-topical anesthetic and anti-inflammatory, Peppermint-anti-inflammatory to damaged tissuesHelichrysum: Aids in circulation, hematomas, reduces tissue pain, regenerates tissue, anti-inflammatory

More bruising• I also had a similar incident (couldn’t find the pictures) but I used

Rose and Lavender with V6 from YL and didn’t have to have plastic surgery as EMT’s and Dr’s thought I would.

• EODR recommends Helichrysum, geranium, lavender cypress, lemongrass, roman chamomile, Relieve It, & PanAway

• Melaleuca (Tea Tree), Lavender, Purification, &/or Frankincense.

• Apply to bone surrounding the eye socket and diffuse in room continuously till well.

• If oils get in eyes be sure to rinse with seed oil (V6, olive, coconut, etc) never water as it will make burning sensation worse.

Sprains & Strains

Sprains and Strains affect the bones, ligaments, muscles and skin. We have found that the following oils applied neat for adults and diluted 1:1 for children to be effective.

In this order seems to work best. If you don’t have one, just keep going.2-4 drops each per application depending on size of joint affected.

Cypress, Marjoram (or Aroma Siez), Lemongrass, and PanAway (or Wintergreen).Follow with Peppermint and cool compress (damp cloth) for added relief.

Our Daughter Amy had a purple looking sprained ankle and after one application of only PanAway was back walking pain free by morning.

ToothachesToothaches: Many have reported that using Thieves, Clove or both have brought great relief of pain and

healed abscessed teeth by repeated neat application. For Children it is recommended to dilute with seed oil

and apply to site with Q-tip. Applying PanAway to the outside of the face over the painful tooth has also been

reported helpful. (I did this and it helped a lot in addition to the “Morphine Bomb” in later slide :D

Insect Bites

• Bites and Stings: From the EODR: Because of their outstanding antiseptic and oil-soluble properties, essential oils are ideal for treating most kinds of insect bites. Essential oils such as lavender and peppermint reduce insect bite-induced itching and infection.

First recommendations: Purification, Lavender, Peppermint, (See EODR for some excellent oil blends) Apply 2-4 times daily

Bee stings: First recommendations – Melrose (Other Purification, PanAway (for Wintergreen and Peppermint), Lavender. . These oils you may want to apply every 15 minutes for the first hour and then 2-3 times per day until the redness goes away.

Lavender has anti-histamine properties (as well as Melaleuca and Roman Chamomile)

Spider Bites: First recommendations: Purification(removes poisons from the body), Thieves, Inner Defense, Pan Away (Lavender’s good too) Basil (known to neutralize poison) (EODR says once every 10 minutes until you can see medical professionals)

• When I was bitten by Brown Recluse I used Purification and Frankincense and have no scarring. I repeated several times per day for 10 days and have no scars from it. I was very sick for the first few days but thanks to Young Living Oils I survived very well :D

Sunburns and SunscreensNatural Sunscreen Tip:"The most effective sunscreen I have ever found is organic unrefined avocado oil and lavender. I have always had skin that burned very quickly, and I lived at the beach in South Florida and now in the tropics in Asia. I mix 4 oz avocado oil with 30 drops Young Living's lavender oil and massage it generously into exposed areas, and reapply it after swimming. Avocado oil is very soothing and hydrating for the skin. " ~ Frances Fuller, Singapore and Bali

Lavaderm Cooling Mist, for taking the pain away and healing my sunburn without blistering, peeling, or scarring. Having lavender and Lavaderm Cooling Mist on hand is also a good idea for any burns associated with barbecue grills or campfires.

Caution: “Pure” lavender is often extended with hybrid lavender or synthetic linalol and linalyl acetate – it is extremely important to use only therapeutic-grade lavendula angustifolia lavender. I personally would NEVER use any lavender other than Young Living lavender for sunburn or a burn.
