using son in public policy
DESCRIPTION
SON technology will ease the increasing complexity and heterogeneity of LTE networks. IFETEL, Mexico’s telecom regulator, believes that SON is also a powerful tool for public policy design. Leading the world on the way to this paradigm shift, IFETEL has come up with several innovative approaches centered around SON: -cross-border interference mitigation through SON -dynamic capacity allocation to Public Safety institutions through commercial LTE networks - detection of unwanted RF emissions, recognition of type of sources, jamming - seamless integration into commercial networks of movable base stations for rescue and law enforcement operationsTRANSCRIPT
