A unique combination of adsorption and electrochemical regeneration for simple, clean,

water and wastewater treatment.

Water scarcity and the effects of emerging pollutants have raised global water and wastewater treatment

standards for both municipal and industrial plants. This not only makes environmental regulations more

difficult to achieve but also increases pressure from consumers. As a result, organisations are encouraged

to adopt advanced water treatment solutions which are capable of effectively removing the pollutants of

concern.

Arvia’s Organics Destruction Cell (ODCTM) offers a proven solution for water and wastewater management,

providing state-of-the-art tertiary treatment. The ODCTM system enables safe water reuse as well as the

prevention of environmental damage and the avoidance of regulatory fines.

Arvia’s proprietary adsorbent, NyexTM, concentrates organic contaminants on its surface and regenerates

while they are electrochemically oxidised. The revolutionary ODC system removes even the hardest to

treat, trace-level non-biodegradable organics without generating sludge or secondary by-products. It

outperforms current AOP and separation technologies by combining the efficacy and energy efficiency of

adsorption and oxidation in a single system.

A demonstration plant consists of a containerised Arvia ODCTM system, complete with feed and treated water stations, instrumentation and control.

incorporated into concrete basins and can also be containerised.
