When operating the handle, the light beam A behind the handle has to be interrupted. The handle B is moved forward and the Rollertrack moves into the cargo hold.

Flexramp on Aircraft

The Flexramp F is positioned into the cargo hold, so that the front edge rest on the floor/ door frame of the cargo hold. Once the Flexramp is docked on and lowered it switches into auto-level mode. The Flexramp will now follow the up/down movements of the aircraft. (Parking brake must be activated and gear lever must be in neutral)

To start and stop, the toggle switch C on the loading/unloading head is activated shortly (0,5 sec):Forwards for loading, backwards for offloading. The Rollertrack is equipped with a “slow start” Function that makes a distinct sound in both ends of the Rollertrack, when a toggle switch C is activated. Briefly after, the Roller track and the hydraulic belt start to accelerate, and after 5 seconds it is at its normal speed. If the toggle switch in the opposite end is tapped in the same direction before the sound from the alarm stops, the “slow start” is bypassed. The start alarm has one distinct sound when loading, and another when offloading. All 4 toggle switches can start or stop the conveyor in both directions at any time.

12

If the toggle switch is manipulated in the conveying direction of the Rollertrack and belt, the speed will gradually increase until the toggle switch is released. If the switch is manipulated against the direction of conveying, speed will decrease gradually until the switch is released. The speed is adjusted independently in each direction, so that by restart the conveying speed will always be the one last used. By start-up of the conveyor belt, however, the Rollertrack will adjust to a medium speed.

If the Rollertrack stops moving during retraction out of the plane, the reason may be that the rollers on the Rollertrack have come above the Flexleaders and the track system in the Flexramp. An acoustic alarm then sounds with a constant tone and the display says “retraction error”. Restart is done by extracting the Rollertrack until the rollers are off the flexleaders and down in the same level as the other rollers. If this is not sufficient to reset the error, the Rollertrack may have been damaged. Please contact a mechanic

Stop during retraction of Rollertrack

During operation of the Rollertrack, items can get caught at the transition roller. Belt and Rollertrackwill stop immediately if the transition roller lifts above its normal position, or the rubber-fenders on the side are activated, while rollertrack is being retracted from the aircraft. The display says Safety stop Rollertrack. Restart is activated by removing the caught item and then extracting the Rollertrack for more than 0.5 sec. This is the only way to get the Rollertrack operating again

14

Safety stop main belt

If items are caught between main belt and rear transition roller, the main belt will stop. The display says Safety stop Main belt. When the item has been removed and the roller is back in its normal resting position, the operation can be restarted by activating toggle switch C

The Rollertrack/belt loader combination is equipped with 7 emergency stop devices. If any of the emergency stops are activated, all functions including the engine are stopped. The Power Stow can only be restarted when all emergency stops are reset, and ignition are turned off and on.An activated emergency stop is indicated on the dashboard control lamp as well as on the Power Stow display.

15

Emergency retraction of the Rollertrack

In case of malfunction of the Rollertrack while this is extracted into the cargo hold, the Rollertrack can be bent and pulled backwards over itself and out onto the conveyor belt.Hereafter, the belt loader can be driven / towed away.

The arching of the Rollertrack when bent backwards must start in the area shown on the illustration. This means that the last roller touching the flexramp must be within this area. When the Rollertrack is pulled backwards a risk remains that:Fingers can be squeezedCutting can take place at the chain links themselves.

To move the vehicle when the Rollertrack is not fully retracted, push the flashing red button in the dashboard. To move backwards keep the button pushed down. To move forwards push the button once.

N.B.!Before moving the belt loader the Rollertrack must be fixed, f.i. as shown on the illustration. The strap must not be fastened too tight in order not to damage the Rollertrack.

Activate parking brake to enable auto level and use Rollertrack

One of the cables between the PLC and the handles is broken

Mechanic:Find the damaged cable and fix it

The electric motor extracting and retracting the Rollertrack has overheated. Only retraction is possible.

Do not retract unless necessary. Let the electric motor cool down and start again.

The computer does not count the length of the Rollertrack correctly. The Rollertrack cannot extract further.

Retract the Rollertrack entirely and extract again to desired length.

Gearlever is not in neutral, operation is not possible

Put gearlever in neutral to operate rollertrack and conveyer

The Flexramp has unsuccessfully attempted to autolevel for more than 20 seconds.

Lift the flexramp clear of the aircraft and lower again to allow a new attempt of autoleveling . If it still fails, contact the workshop.

It was tried to move the belt loader, while the Rollertrack was still in the cargo hold.

Put gear in neutral and activate parking brake. Extract Rollertrack entirely. Driving is not possible.

One of the safety Stops at the transition rollers between Rollertrack and belt has been activated by an object squeezed between the rollers. (It is only possible to extract the Rollertrack)

Remove the object. To reset the safety stop the sensors must be reset by bringing the safety stops to their resting position. The Rollertrack must be extracted into the plane for 0.5 sec.

One of the seven E-stops is activated

Reset activated E-stop and turn ignition key off and on

An object caught between the roller and main belt has activated a safety stop.

Remove caught item. Conveying can be restarted by means of the toggle switch.

A fault near the flexramp, during retraction of the Rollertrack has been detected.

Check and see if the Rollertrack has rolled in on top of the guide wheels in the flexramp. Extract the Rollertrack until the sound stops and then retract the Rollertrack again

The electrical motor driving the Rollertrack in and out was activated for more than 5 sec. without moving the Rollertrack

Check and see if something is blocking the movement of the Rollertrack, and remove blocking items. If no obvious blockage can be found contact responsible workshop

The Power Stow is touching the plane and Can not drive
