Introduction

Crafito Lite Ecommerce is a specialized and well-crafted theme developed for e-commerce industry. It

provides numerous snippets with various possible options for customizing store and providing an

attractive look and feel. Crafito Lite Ecommerce has inbuilt apps like Advance Mega Menu & Custom

Product Image Gallery for admin to represent the products and its categories & subcategories effectively.

Pre-requisites

• Following points must be followed before starting the plug-in installation:

▪ You should login as an Admin in Odoo.

▪ Check that your Odoo Instance is compatible for Crafito Lite Ecommerce Theme.

▪ An e-commerce module should be present in your instance to use this theme.

Installation

Installation Steps

• Download and extract the zip file.

• Check your Odoo add-ons path.

▪ It should be same as defined in Odoo Config file.

▪ Config files are mostly saved in /etc folder. For e.g. /etc/odoo.conf

▪ Open Config file:

▪ Give the command: sudo/etc/odoo.conf

▪ Config file content: addons_path = /opt/odoo/addons

• Open Terminal and go to download location

▪ For e.g. if the download location path is: /home/odoo/Downloads then the command to be

written in the terminal would be: cd/home/odoo/Downloads

• Copy download modules to addons path

• Give the below mentioned commands to perform copy operation:

▪ $cd /home/odoo/Downloads/theme_Crafito Lite Ecommerce

▪ $cd v11

▪ $sudo cp theme_Crafito Lite Ecommerce /opt/odoo/addons

• Restart Odoo server

• Login with the admin credentials in your odoo instance.

• Activate the Developer Mode

▪ To activate Developer Mode, Go to Settings -> Activate the developer mode (with assets).

Click on ‘Activate the developer mode (with assets)’ and developer mode will be activated.

• Go to Settings/Update Apps List.

▪ Click on ‘Update’ button.

• Go to Settings/Apps

▪ Remove search filter

• Enter the module name in the search box provided in the top right corner of the page. For e.g. here

write “Crafito Lite Ecommerce”.

• Click on ‘Install’ button.

Access Rights Management

• Now after installing the theme, to manage the access rights of users, go to Settings -> Manage

access rights.

• By clicking on it you will be redirected to the Users module. Thereafter, navigate to the detail page

of the particular user for which you want to manage the access rights.

• Now under ‘Access Rights’ tab from ‘Website’ dropdown list, select the ‘Editor and Designer’ option

to let the particular user modify the ‘Slider Configurations’.

Note: If the ‘Restricted Editor’ option is selected user won’t be able to edit the ‘Slider Configurations’

options.

Theme Configuration

Theme Customization

• Now customize the theme the way you want. You can change the theme layout, Theme’s main color

& Theme’s Font Combination by navigating to Customize -> Customize Theme from the website.

Banner Slider Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Banner Slider. Drag and drop Banner Slider Snippet on the

page where it is to be displayed.

• Now click on ‘Customize’ to customize the Background Image, Background Color and Slideshow

Speed. Moreover, new slides can also be added or removed in the Snippet.

• Banner Slider Snippet can also be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted. Moreover, by clicking on

any of the text in snippet, texts in the snippets can be customized.

• To customize the button double click on the particular button. After clicking on it ‘Link to’ pop up

will appear on the screen. From this pop-up, Link Label, URL or Email, Size and Color of the button

can be managed. Lastly click on ‘Save’ button and save the changes in the snippet.

Featured Categories Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Featured Categories. Drag and drop Featured Categories

Snippet on the page where it is to be displayed.

• Now click on ‘Customize’ to customize the Background Image and Background Color.

• Featured Categories Snippet can also be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted. Moreover, by clicking

on any of the text in the snippet, texts in the snippets can be customized.

on the page where it is to be displayed.


• Feature Highlights Snippet can also be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted. Moreover, by clicking

on any of the text in snippet, texts in the snippets can be customized.

• Along with this, by double clicking on the logos, images of the specific logo can be edited from

‘Select a Media’ pop-up on the screen. From this popup Image, Document Image, Pictogram or

Video can be uploaded for the particular logo. Lastly Click on ‘Save’ button to save the changes in

the snippet.

Product Information Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Product Information. Drag and drop Feature Highlights



• Product Information Snippet can also be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted. Moreover, by clicking

on any of the text in the snippet, texts in the snippets can be customized.

• Along with this, by double clicking on the blocks, the images of the specific block can be edited from

‘Select a Media’ pop-up on the screen. From this pop-up Image, Document Image, Pictogram or

Video can be uploaded for the particular block. Lastly click on ‘Save’ button save the changes in the

snippet.

Mega Menu

• To configure Mega Menu, go to Website -> Configuration -> Mega Menu.

• To create a Mega Menu, click on ‘Create’ Button. There you will have options to add website, name

of menu, URL for menu, option to open menu in new window, Parent Menu & select whether the

new menu is mega menu or not.

Note:

• Select ‘Bottom’ option from ‘Menu Position in Website’ to create a Mega Menu.

• Select ‘Top Menu’ option from ‘Parent Menu’.

• To configure and manage the MegaMenu kindly activate the developer mode (with assets) from

Settings module.

Mega Menu Configuration

• Select Is megamenu…? Option to create mega menu & give configurations as required.

• Megamenu View Type: Select the type of view in which megamenu is to be displayed. It can be

displayed in following ways:

▪ Category Megamenu: To display Mega Menu as per the categories.

▪ List Category Megamenu: To display Mega Menu in the list view of categories.

▪ Pages Megamenu: To display page categories in the Mega Menu.

• Mega Menu Background: If you want a background in Mega Menu, you can set it from here by checking the ‘Want to set Mega Menu background’ checkbox. On checking it, ‘Mega Menu Background Selection’ option will appear. It'll have the following options:

▪ Background Image: To set a background image in mega menu, upload an image from here.

▪ Background Color: To set a background color for mega menu, enter the Hash code of particular color.

• Special Features: Advance Mega Menu contains the following special features: ▪ Category Slider: To display sliders for category in Mega Menu.

▪ Static Image: To display a static image in the Mega Menu.

Note: Special Features will only be available for Category Mega Menu.

▪ Category Slider: To display Category Slider, select ‘Category Slider’ option and set ‘Slider

Label’ & ‘Category Slider Position’.

▪ Static Image: To display a static image in the mega menu, select ‘Static Image’ option, and set ‘Static Image Position’ and ‘Static Image’.

• Menu Icon & Colors: ▪ To add icon to menu, select option ‘Want to display menu icon’ and upload the icon for menu. ▪ To change font color for categories & subcategories, enable ‘Want to customize menu colors’

option and add Hash Codes for Main Category Color & Sub Category Color.

• Menu Footer ▪ To display menu footer, enable ‘Display menu footer’ option and enter the text for footer in

‘Footer content’ text area.

• Category Image ▪ To display images as per the categories, enable ‘Display category image’ option and choose

the image display position. There will be mainly two display positions: ▪ Top

▪ Bottom

Mega Menu Categories & Sub Categories

• Go to Website -> Configuration -> Products -> Ecommerce Categories. You can manage the

categories and sub categories for the existing categories or you can create new product categories

by clicking on ‘Create’ button.

▪ To create Main Category:

▪ Name: Enter the name of category.

▪ Parent Category: Select the parent category of the category which is to be created.

▪ Sequence: Set the sequence no. for deciding the sequence of particular category in Mega menu list.

▪ Include in Megamenu: Check the checkbox to include the category in Mega Menu.

▪ Main menu: Select the main menu under which category is to be created.

▪ Enter the description of the category in the text box.

▪ To create Sub Category:

▪ Name: Enter the name of category.

▪ Parent Category: Select the category of the particular sub category which is to be created.

▪ Sequence: Set the sequence no. for deciding the sequence of particular category in Mega menu list.

▪ Include in Megamenu: Check the checkbox to include the category in Mega Menu.

Deals of the Day Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Deals of the Day. Drag and drop Deals of the Day Snippet on

the page where it is to be displayed.

• Now ‘Deals of the Day Block Configuration’ pop up will appear on the screen, select the type of

block which is to be displayed on the page from ‘Select Block’ dropdown list and click on ‘Apply’

button.

• Thereafter, click on ‘Customize’ button to customize the Background Image and Background Color.

It can also be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted.

• Managing Deals of The Day Block Configurations:

▪ Go to Sales -> Block Configurations -> Deals of The Day Block. Click on ‘Create’ button to create a new block category.

▪ Set following attributes to display Deals of the Day Block on website:

▪ Block Name: Enter the name of the block.

▪ Active: Check the checkbox to activate the particular block.

▪ Collections of Category: Choose the Product Categories to be displayed under the particular block.

▪ Click on ‘Save’ button to save the Deal of The Day Block Configurations.

Note: To manage the Deals of the Day Block Configurations, user must have the ‘Editor and Designer’

access rights.

Brands Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Brands. Drag and drop Brands Snippet on the page where it

is to be displayed.

• Now ‘Our Brands Slider Configuration’ pop up will appear on the screen, enter the total number of

brands to be displayed on the page in ‘Total Count’ field and click on ‘Apply’ button.



Note: The Brands configured from the backend will only be displayed on the website as per the

priority set for the brands.

Category Block Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Category Block. Drag and drop Category Block Snippet on

is to be displayed on the page from ‘Select Block’ dropdown list and click on ‘Apply’ button.

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Products Block. Drag and drop Products Block Snippet on

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Pricing. Drag and drop Pricing Snippet on the page where it

is to be displayed.

• To customize the snippet, click on the ‘Customize’ button to customize the Background Image, and

Background Color. Moreover, by clicking on any of the text in snippet, texts in the snippets can be

Facts Counter Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Facts Counter. Drag and drop Facts Counter Snippet on the


• Now, ‘Facts Counter Data’ pop up will appear on the screen, choose the number of facts to be

displayed in the snippet on the page from ‘Number of Facts’ dropdown list, enter the bootstrap

code for icons, enter the label name of the counter along with its value and click on ‘Apply’ button.

Note: On choosing the number of facts by default, required fields will be displayed for the number

of facts selected. Along with this bootstrap icon, the code will also be added in ‘Icon’ field which

can be edited as per the need.

• Thereafter, click on ‘Customize’ button to modify the Fact Sheet Data, customize the Background

Image and Background Color. It can also be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted.

be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted.

• Managing Our Team Configurations:

▪ Go to ‘Employees’, navigate to the detail page of the particular employee which is to be displayed under the Our Team Snippet.

▪ Click on ‘Edit’ button to edit the employee details. Thereafter click on ‘Slider Configurations’ tab button to manage the social media configurations and to make the employee visible in ‘Our Team’ Snippet.

▪ Set following attributes under the ‘Slider Configurations’ tab:

▪ Enable to Make the Employee Visible in Our Team Snippet: Check the checkbox to enable the employee to visible under the Our Team Snippet.

▪ Twitter Account: Enter the link of particular employee’s Twitter account.

▪ Facebook Account: Enter the link of particular employee’s Facebook account.

▪ LinkedIn Account: Enter the link of particular employee’s LinkedIn account.

▪ Short Description About Employee: Enter the short description about the employee.

▪ Click on ‘Save’ button to save the Slider Configurations.

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Subscription. Drag and drop Subscription Snippet on the

• On dragging and dropping the snippet ‘Blog Slider Configuration’ pop up will appear on the screen.

Choose the type of blogs to be displayed from ‘Select Type’ dropdown list. Click on ‘Apply’ button

to proceed further.

• Click on ‘Customize’ button to customize the Background Image and Background Color. It can also

be Resized, Moved, Copied and Deleted.

• Adding Blogs to the Snippet

▪ Go to Website -> Blog -> Blog Slider Configurations. Click on ‘Create’ button to create a new Blog category.

▪ Set following attributes to display Blog Slider on website:

▪ Slider Name: Enter the name of the slider.

▪ Active: Check the checkbox to activate the slider.

▪ Count: Set the number of blogs to be displayed in the blog slider.

▪ Auto Rotate Slider: Check the checkbox to set the slider on Auto Rotation.

▪ Slider Sliding Speed: Enter the speed of slider if it is set on Auto Rotation.

▪ Collection of Blog Posts: Add the Blogs which are needed to be added in the collection.

▪ Click on ‘Save’ button to save the Blog Slider Configurations.

the screen. Choose the newsletter type in which, emails added in the subscription field are to be

Contact Us Snippet

• Go to Website -> Edit -> Add Blocks -> Contact Us. Drag and drop Contact Us Snippet in the page

section where the snippet is to be added.

• On dragging and dropping the snippet ‘Add a Newsletter Subscribe Button’ pop up will appear on

the screen. Choose the newsletter type in which emails in the subscription field are to be added.

Click on ‘Continue’ button to proceed further.

• To customize the snippet, click on the ‘Customize’ button and customize the Background Image and

• To configure the Social Media, go to backend and navigate to Settings -> Users & Companies ->

Companies and select the company and update the links in that company and save the record.

• Go to Sales -> Configuration -> Product Style and create various types of Sales Ribbons from Product

Style.

• Once Product Styles have been created, go to the Shop Page in the website and navigate to the

‘Customize’ button from the top left corner and enable ‘Sales Ribbon’ from ‘Product Attribute's

Filters’.

Note: Sales Ribbon / Product Style will only be applied on the products which are added in

particular Product Style. Along with this Sales Ribbon will only be displayed on the Shop Page.

Multi Image Gallery Configurations

Creating New Product

• Go to Sales -> Catalog -> Products. In this you will find ‘Create’ Button. Click on it to create a New

Product.

• There you will have options to Add Multiple Images. After clicking on it you can set multiple images

for the product.

Add Multiple Images to the product

• Click on ‘Product Multiple Images’ tab.

• Click on ‘Add an item’ option to start adding images for the product.

Note: To add Multiple Product Images, user must have the ‘Editor and Designer’ access rights.

Creating a New Image

• After adding an item you’ll be redirected to create image pop up.

• Give proper Title, Alt text, Type (Image / Video), Image and Sorting order.

• If you don’t want to include this image in Custom Product Image Gallery click on ‘More View

Exclude’.

• Click on ‘Save & Close’ to create new image.

• To create another image / video click on ‘Save & New’.

Creating a New Video

• After adding an item you’ll be redirected to create image pop up.

• Give proper Title, Alt text, Type (Image / Video), Image and Sorting order. To create the Video, click

on ‘Video’ option.

• Give proper type to video which can be of:

▪ You Tube Video

▪ Vimeo Video

▪ HTML 5 Video

• If you don’t want to include this video in Product Image Gallery click on ‘More View Exclude’.

• Click on ‘Save & Close’ to create a new Video.

• To create another image / video click on ‘Save & New’.

Popular Tags

• Go to Sales -> Configuration -> Product Tags and create various types of tags from Product Tags.

• Once Product Tags have been created, go to the Shop Page in the website and navigate to the

‘Customize’ button from the top left corner and enable ‘Popular Tags’ from ‘Product Attribute's

Filters’.

Note: Popular Tags will only be displayed on the Shop Page.

Brands

• Go to Sales -> Configuration -> Product Brands and create various types of Brands from Product

Brands.

• Once Product Brands have been created, go to the Shop Page in the website and navigate to the

‘Customize’ button from the top left corner and enable ‘Product Brands’ from ‘Product Attribute's

Filters’.

Note: Brands will only be displayed on the Shop Page.

• To display the Price Slider, go to the Shop Page in the website and navigate to the ‘Customize’

button from the top left corner and enable ‘Price Slider’ from ‘Product Attribute's Filters’.

• To display Custom Filters, go to the Shop Page in the website and navigate to the ‘Customize’ button

from the top left corner and enable ‘Custom Filter’ from ‘Product Attribute's Filters’.

• Now you can let your customers easily share the products or services directly from their details

page.

• To share the products / services navigate to details page of the product and click on any of the below

icons:

▪ Facebook: To share the product on Facebook.

▪ Twitter: To share the product on Twitter.

▪ LinkedIn: To share the product on LinkedIn.

▪ Google +: To share the product on Google+.

Note: This Theme will not work for Odoo Online Versions.
