SECTION A: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Purpose This document is the user manual for ezHASiL Centralized Interface. In this document the guide of using ezHASiL system is listed for user’s reference.

1.2 System Requirement Requirement Description

Computer / Processor At least Intel Pentium® III and above Memory At least 128 megabyte(MB) Operating System At least Microsoft Windows 7 (Latest service

pack), Linux and Macintosh Internet Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0 and above Microsoft Edge Mozilla Firefox 44.0 Google Chrome 46.0 Safari 5

1.3 Internet Browser Setting For users of ezHASiL system, you are required to set your browser as below:

Internet Explorer Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy -> Pop-up Blocker. Click on “Turn On pop-up Blocker” checkbox to remove √.

Microsoft Edge Go to Settings -> Advanced Setting -> View Advanced Setting -> Block pop-ups. Click on button to change display to “OFF”.

Mozilla Firefox Go to Menu -> Options -> Content -> Pop ups. Click on “Block pop-up windows” checkbox to remove √.

Google Chrome Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Contents settings -> Pop-ups. Select “Allows all sites to show pop-ups”.

Safari Go to Settings. Select “Block Pop Up Windows” to remove √.

SECTION B: ACCESSING ezHASiL WEBSITE

i. Browse to ezHASiL website at https://ez.hasil.gov.my

ii. Click on EN link. ezHASiL system will be displayed in English version.

SECTION C: ezHASiL MODULE

1.1 Passport No. Renewal via ezHASiL Login Announcement:

Taxpayers must update old Passport No. to New Passport No. in advance through LHDNM.

§ Passport No. renewal via ezHASiL login, will require you to enter old Passport No. and Password. If you have forgotten your Password, please perform Forgot Password action before proceed to change your new number through LHDNM.

§ If you have changed your Passport No. to new number and forgotten the login password, please perform First Time Login.

1. You can renew your Passport No. when Login ezHASiL. Enter your new Passport No. and click

on Submit button. Next login screen will be displayed.

2. If you have not set your Security Phrase, Security Phrase will not be displayed (refer label 1).

Enter Password and click on Proceed button.

OR If you have set your Security Phrase (refer label 2), verify the Security Phrase. If correct, enter Password and click on Proceed button.

3. If your new Passport No. exists, system will display message as below screen.

*NOTE: If you enter your old Passport No., System will display message as “Record does not exist. Please verify the Reference No. (Identification No.) and Identification Type.”

4. Click on Yes button. ezHASiL system will display Digital Certificate Renewal screen.

5. Please read the display information and tick on Agree checkbox. Click on Proceed button.

ezHASiL system will display Digital Certificate Login screen.

6. Enter your old Reference No. (Identification No.) and old Password. Click on Proceed button. Roaming PKI system will renew your Digital Certificate and display screen below if successful.

7. Click on here link to proceed with login using your new Passport No. and old Password.

1.2 Change Police or Army No. identification to New IC No. via Login Announcement:

New IC No. must exist in LHDNM system.

1.2.1 Using Police or Army No. at Login *NOTE: Screen sample is based on Army No. The word Army No. will be changed to Police No. when using Police No.

1. You can change your Police or Army No. to New IC No. when Login ezHASiL. Enter your Police

or Army No. and click on Submit button. Next login screen will be displayed.

2. If you have not set your Security Phrase, Security Phrase will not be displayed (refer label 1).

Enter Password and click on Proceed button. OR If you have set your Security Phrase (refer label 2), verify the Security Phrase. If correct, enter Password and click on Proceed button.

3. Confirmation message will be displayed as below.

4. Click on Yes button. ezHASiL system will display Digital Certificate Renewal screen.

5. Please read the display information and tick on Agree checkbox. Click on Proceed button.

ezHASiL system will display Digital Certificate Login screen.

6. Enter your Reference No. (New IC No.) and Password (Police or Army No. Password). Click

on Proceed button. Roaming PKI system will renew your Digital Certificate and display screen below if successful. Your digital certificate now is based on New IC No.

7. Click on ezHASiL link and login by using your New IC No. and password.

1.2.2 Using New IC No. at Login

1. You can change your Police or Army No. to New IC No. when Login ezHASiL. Enter your New

IC No. and click on Submit button. Next login screen will be displayed.

ezHASiL system will display Digital Certificate Login screen.

6. Enter your Police or Army No. and select Identification type. Enter your Password (Police or

Army No. Password). Click on Proceed button. Roaming PKI system will renew your Digital Certificate and display screen below if successful. Your digital certificate now is based on New IC No.

7. Click on ezHASiL link and login by using your New IC No. and password.

1.3 Login and Security Phrase Security Phrase is used to ensure that the accessed ezHASiL site is belonging to LHDNM.

§ If you have set the Security Phrase, please make sure that the phrase is correct before continuing login.

o Security Phrase can be updated under “Maintenance” menu at sub menu “Change Security Phrase”.

§ If you have an account login to ezHASiL system, and not yet set the Security Phrase, you must set the Security Phrase after login is successful.

§ If you do not have an account login to ezHASiL system, you are required to set the Security Phrase during First Time Login.

This is the main login page for ezHASiL users as an individual or an organization. In order to access

the system, users must activate PIN No. by performing First Time Login. This action will generate

user’s digital certificate to be used as ezHASiL login.

1.3.1 Login without Security Phrase

1. Enter your Identification No. and click on Submit button. Next login screen will be displayed.

2. Enter the correct Password and click on Proceed button. Message regarding Security Phrase

will be displayed.

3. Click on OK button. Set Security Phrase page will be displayed as below.

4. Enter Security Phrase. To view security phrase criteria, place cursor on icon System will

display security phrase criteria as below: i. Must be between 8 to 15 characters

ii. Special characters / Symbol are not allowed 5. Click on Submit button. System will display message “Your Security Phrase has been

updated”. Click on OK button. *NOTE: You can only access Log Out menu as long as security phrase is not set.

1.3.2 Login with Security Phrase

1. Enter your Identification No. and click on Submit button. Next login screen will be displayed.

2. Verify the displayed Security Phrase. If correct, enter Password and click on Proceed button.

ezHASiL home page will be displayed.

3. This page will list available services in ezHASiL. Please select appropriate service.

1.4 My Tax MyTax is a digital mailbox available to the taxpayer for the activity or the latest tax information.

1. Click on MyTax menu. ezHASiL system will display MyTax screen as below.

2. MyTax page will list available information or activity sent by LHDNM.

1.5 Profile ezHASiL system will navigate users to Services page when login is successful.

1. To view your Profile, click on Profile menu. ezHASiL system will display Profile page as below.

2. At Profile screen, system will display information as below:

i. Basis Information – Name, Reference No., Income Tax No., Address, Telephone No., Mobile Phone No. and Email Address.

ii. Individual Digital Certificate – Certificate Status and Certificate Duration. iii. Organization Digital Certificate – Certificate Status and Certificate Duration.

a. Organization Information – No., Name, Reference No.(Registration No.), Income Tax No., Status and Registration Date.

*NOTE: Individual having Individual and Organization digital certificate is able to view both certificate information only when the password for both certificates is the same.

1.6 Maintenance: Change Password Change Password allows taxpayer to change existing password to new password.

1. Click on Maintenance menu and select Change Password sub menu. ezHASiL system will

display Change Password page as below.

2. Select your applicable Digital Certificate Type. If you have both Individual and Organization

certificate, this option is available to you. 3. Enter your current Password. 4. Enter the new Password. To view security criteria, place cursor on icon System will

display security criteria as below: i. Must be between 8 to 12 characters

ii. Must have at least one (1) one capital letter iii. Must have at least one (1) small letter iv. Must have at least one (1) numerical character v. Special character/Symbol are not allowed

5. Enter new Password. Please make sure your password combination is as per above security criteria.

6. Re-enter the same new Password. 7. Click on Submit button.

1.7 Maintenance: Change Security Phrase Change Security Phrase allows taxpayer to change existing security phrase to new security phrase.

1.8 e-Form: e-Form Status e-Form Status is to check the status of current assessment year for individual e-Form.

1. Click on menu e-Form. e-Form page will be displayed as below.

2. Click on e-Form Status tab. System will display the status of current assessment year e-Form.

1.8.1 Unfilled e-Form

Displayed Status No individual e-Form record found. Please proceed to e-Form for registration.

Action by taxpayer Click on e-Form link to start fill in e-Form.

1. If your e-form is not filled in, the above page will appear. Click e-Form link. e-Form page will

be displayed as below.

2. Select the e-Form and Year of Assessment to continue filling.

1.8.2 Draft - Taxpayer Displayed Status Form has not been submitted. Form is registered on [filling date].

Action by taxpayer Click on Fill button to continue filling. Or click on Reset button to reset e-Form.

1. If you have filled and not yet sent the e-Form, the above page will appear. You have the

option to continue filling or reset the e-form. Please refer to the following steps.

1.8.2.1 Fill 1. To continue filling the e-Form, click on Fill button. e-Form page will be displayed in a new

window as below.

2. Continue filling the e-Form as usual.

1.8.2.2 Reset 1. To reset e-Form, click on Reset button. The message below will be displayed.

2. Click on Proceed button. The e-Form has been reset. To check the status, click the e-Form

Status tab.

1.8.3 Send – Taxpayer

Displayed Status Has been submitted by tax payer on [submission date]. Please proceed to Acknowledgement Receipt.

Action by taxpayer Click on Acknowledgement Receipt link to view the submitted e-Form.

1. If you have sent your e-Form, the above page will appear. Click on Acknowledgement

Receipt link to view the acknowledgement receipt.

2. Select the Form Type and Year of Assessment. Next click the Submit button.

Acknowledgement Receipt page will be displayed in a new window.

1.8.4 Draft – Tax Agent Displayed Status Has been registered by tax agent on [registration date]. Action by taxpayer No action can be taken because the e-form has been held by tax agents.

1. If the e-Form has been registered by tax agents, the above screen will appear. No action can

be taken because the e-form has been held by tax agents.

1.8.5 Send – Tax Agent

Displayed Status Has been submitted by tax agent on [submission date]. Please proceed to Acknowledgement Receipt.

Action by taxpayer Click on Acknowledgement Receipt link to view the submitted e-Form.

1. If tax agent has sent your e-Form, the above page will appear. Click on Acknowledgement

Receipt link to view the acknowledgement receipt.

2. Select the Form Type and Year of Assessment. Next click the Submit button. Acknowledgement Receipt page will be displayed in a new window.
