1. Untighten the VAT stoppers. Rotate all (4) four vat stoppers counter clockwise to loosen, no need to remove the VAT stoppers from the VAT insert.

2. Insert the VAT.

3. Tighten the VAT stoppers only enough to snug them against the VAT. Do not overtighten.

1. Press the power button and hold it down for 5 seconds then release the power button. Wait until the light goes off.

2. Turn off main switch located at the back of the printer.

The T1000 has an onboard web interface which is called the G3D Web UI. It isa software that integrates with the T-1000 to print 3D objects.

There are three ways to connect to T-1000’s G3D Web UI. Connection can bethru printer wifi, home wifi or the ethernet. You need to access first the Web UIvia G3D or Printer Wifi to be able to configure the other connections.

PRINTER ACCESSIBILITY CONFIGURATION

a. Connect via G3D or Printer Wifi

1. Search the “G3DPrinter” (SSID) wifi in the network. It automatically appears 15 seconds after you power on the T-1000.

2. Enter the password “G3D54321” to connect to the G3D wifi.

CONNECTING TO PRINTER WIFI AND ACCESSING THE G3D WEB UI

b. Access the G3D Web UI1. Type the default hostname <g3dprint:8080> in the URL box and press enter to access the G3D Web UI. The direct ip address for http://g3dprint:8080 is 10.0.0.1:8080 when on G3D or Printer Wifi.

After an initial login to the G3D Web UI, setting details of ethernet’s ip address(if available) and G3D wifi’s ip address will be visible in the info box of the Web UI.

CONFIGURING THE WIFI CONNECTIONSAfter you have accessed the G3D Web UI via G3D or printer wifi, on the indexpage of the Web UI, you can configure the settings for G3D Printer wifi, homewifi and Ethernet connection.

a. G3D or Printer Wifi ConfigurationIt is important to configure the printer wifi connection if there are multiple printersor units.

1. Press the < >printer configuration icon.

2. Select <Printer Wifi>.

3. A printer configuration box will appear after you select the printer wifi. You need to type your new SSID, new password and new hostname.

4. Press <Save> button and <Yes> button to confirm.

5. Printer will shutdown after you press the save button. 6. Push the power button to turn on the printer.7. Press <x> button to close the browser.

8. Search and connect to your <New SSID> from your wifi network.9. Enter your <New Password> to connect.10. Open the browser and type your <New Hostname:8080> to access the Web UI.

9. Open the browser. If you haven’t changed the hostname configuration, type <g3dprint:8080> in the url box and press enter to access the Web UI.

CONNECTING VIA ETHERNETOnce you join your home wifi you can use ethernet or use ethernet only.

1. Plug the ethernet cable into the ethernet port to connect to your device.

2. Open the browser. If you haven’t changed the hostname configuration, type <g3dprint:8080> in the url box and press enter to access the Web UI.

RESETTING WIFI CONNECTIONOnce you are connected to your home WIFI. The only way to re-connect toG3D or Printer Wifi is to push manually the printer’s reset wifi switch located atthe left panel of printer. Use a small pin to push the wifi reset.

When a new file is uploaded, it is saved as .g3d file. Layout and Slice softwareallows you to create g3d files. Layout and Slice software allows the importation of3D objects in preparation for printing. The G3D Web UI has several 3D objectfiles ready for printing.

It is advisable to position the build plate before you print an object. Positioning thebuild plate will improve the adhesion of objects.

Calibrating the VAT has similar procedures with positioning the build plate, onlythis time you need to include the adjustment of calibration levers. It is important tocalibrate the VAT after a failed print or when you need to replace the VAT.

See “Removing the VAT” on page 46 to replace a VAT. See “Setting the VAT” on page 9 to replace a VAT.

1. Pour resin into the VAT before starting to print. Never fill up the VAT full. To avoid overflow and spill of resin inside the printer, VAT should be filled until the max line.

The projector of the printer has a default xy resolution setting of 175 µm. If you will print an object with a different xy resolution, change the xy resolution of the projector and adjust the focus of the projector. The resolution of the projector should always match the resolution of the object. See “Adjusting the XY resolution of the projector” on page 28.

Do not stare at the UV light.

The door window is UV protected. It should be closed during normal operations.

For larger prints, pause the printer to refill the VAT with resin.

To effectively print an object, the xy resolution setting of the projector should havethe same xy resolution indicated in the info box of G3D Web UI.

Do not open the rear panel while the power is on. Before you remove the rear panel make sure to touch any metal frame of the printer to avoid electrostatic discharge damage.

1. Press the power button and hold it down for 5 seconds then release the power button. Wait until the light goes off.

2. Turn off main switch located at the back of the printer.

8. Put the projector adjuster into the slot for lock position.

9. Tighten the knob.

Do not overtighten the knob.

10. Return screws to attach the lower rear panel of the printer.

It is essential to focus the projector properly after you have adjusted the xy resolution setting of the projector. Make sure to calibrate the VAT, before youadjust the focus of the projector.

See “Calibrating the VAT” on page 24.

Be alert of moving mechanism.

1. Rotate the head stopper counter clockwise and remove the head stopper from the assembly.

2. Untighten all (4) four VAT stoppers.

3. Remove the build plate and VAT.

FOCUSING THE PROJECTOR11. Ensure that the projected uv light of “Calcube” has identical dimension with the template box. The projected uv light should be sharp. If the uv light is blurred, adjust the focus ring of the projector.

Discharge static electricity. Wear safety glasses for uv light protection.

12. From the Web UI, press <Abort> to cancel the projection of uv light.

18. Lightly loosen the focus lock knob. Rotate the knob counter clockwise to a 360 degree only. Do not remove the focus lock knob from the projector.

20. Turn on main switch located at the back of the printer.

21. Press the power button for 2-3 seconds. The red led will illuminate from the power button.

23. Slowly dial the focus ring until the projected uv light of Calcube appears sharp.

24. From the Web UI, press <Abort> to cancel the projection of uv light.

RAISING THE BUILD PLATEDuring normal operations, after you print or abort during printing, the build platewill move up. In other circumstances, there is an option to raise the build plate.

1. Press the < > printer configuration icon on the Web UI index page.

2. Press the <Raise Plate> button.

REMOVING THE BUILD PLATE Do not remove the VAT before the build plate to ensure that the resin will not drip in the printer.

Wear rubber gloves to prevent skin contact.

Wear safety glasses or goggles for eye protection.

1. Untighten the head stopper. Rotate the head stopper counter clockwise to remove from the build plate.

There are things you can do to extend the lifespan and appearance of your prints.They will definitely last longer if you will give them proper care and maintenance. The following recommendations are for your everyday care and cleaning guide foryour prints.

■ Avoid using sharp objects or abrasive materials on the surfaces of prints.■ Never scrub the prints with metal bristles.■ Some solvents can damage the prints, it is good to keep them away from harsh chemicals.■ Exposure to direct sunlight may cause prints to discoloration. ■ Provide a proper storage for your prints.■ Avoid storing prints near heat because it can cause excessive drying.■ Avoid exposing the prints to extreme temperatures.■ Clean the prints by dry wiping.

Check the VAT for leaks.

1. Remove resin debris inside the VAT. Be careful when you use the scraper. Do not leave any scratches inside the VAT.

2. Pour the left over resin to an empty bottle. Use a strainer to separate resin from any solid particles.

3. Wash and apply mild detergent into VAT. 4. Use a soft sponge to avoid scratches into the VAT which may cause “clouding”.

■ Store the resin in a cool and dry place.

■ Fill the VAT with water and let it sit for 10-15 mins to test for leaks.■ Replace the VAT if there are any cracks or leaks. ■ Clean the VAT after printing an object.■ Do not leave the resin inside the VAT when not in use or printing.■ Do not expose the VAT to excessive heat or direct sunlight.■ Ensure not to scratch the lens of the projector.

5. Rinse the VAT with clean water.6. Wipe the VAT with a paper towel.
