User Guide

How to Log On to CIBC Money Market Online

• Go to e.cibcwm.com

• Enter your User ID and Password

• Select MM Online from dropdown (Hint: You can select it as your

default by clicking Change Default Application)

• Click Sign On

• For security reasons, it is not recommended that you allow your

Internet browser to remember your password

User Tip

Offering prices are updated daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (ET) on regular Canadian business days.

Order entry is enabled only during these times.

Enter Orders (from the Home Page)

1. From the Home page Select the Offering that you would like

to trade by clicking in the box beside it

2. Click on the Buy / Sell button (the Enter Buy / Sell Order page

is presented)

3. Select the Account ID from the dropdown list (a “main

account type must be entered if you wish to allocate later)

4. Enter the par value in the Qty field

5. Click on Next (“step 2 of 3” page is displayed in to review the order and make any necessary

changes)

6. Click on Submit to confirm the order (step 3 of 3 page is displayed with the order status and the

ticket number)

User Tip

If Min Qty, Max Qty or Multiple have not been exceeded and the default Settlement Date has not been altered then the order may be auto-filled – otherwise it will be sent to the CIBC CM trader for approval.

Allocate an Order(Note: An Order may only be allocated if a “Main Account ID” type was entered in step 3 below)

• If a “Main Account ID” type was entered for your order then the last screen will display a message:

“Order Status: Filled – To Be Allocated” with an “Edit Order” link

• To allocate the order click on the Edit Order link. This will display the Trade Allocate screen

• Enter the Account ID and the Qty in the Allocations region

• Click the Add Accounts button (at the top right of the screen) to add more accounts

• The order will be allocated successfully when the Total Quantity defined in the Main Account is

completely distributed

• Click on Next (step 2 of 3 is displayed to verify and make adjustments to the order)

• Click on Submit (step 3 of 3 is displayed with the Order Status and the ticket number)(Note: You may choose to allocate later at your convenience through the “Review Orders” screen – see page 4)

Monitor the Status of Your Orders

1. Click on Review Orders

2. The trading activity for today is presented

3. Clicking on any column heading will allow you to quickly sort the orders according to that column

heading

4. Use the Search Orders menu item to view orders from previous days

5. Save Searches you intend to use on a regular basis for quick display of historical trade activity

(e.g. trades that have not settled yet; or trades that have occurred in the last 2 weeks; etc.)

6. The steps to execute 4) and 5) are very similar to those for “Searching” found on page 7

Perform Maintenance Activities on Today’s Orders

You may perform maintenance on two types of orders:

1. Orders not yet allocated

2. Orders counter by the trader

– Click on Review Orders

– The trading activity for today is presented

– Clicking on any column will sort the report by that column

– Click the GO button beside the Order you wish to act on

• The Enter Buy / Sell Order page is presented

• Follow the straight through process (as detailed on page 2 – Entering Orders) to complete the order or

allocate the order

Create Customizable Result Views

Money Market Online users can customize the presentation of the data displayed on the screen when

viewing their Offering Search or Order Search Results (i.e. which columns to display).

• Go to the Review Orders / Customize Result View submenu

• Click New as the Action

• Enter a name for your view in View Name

• Check the box beside the Attributes columns you wish to be displayed in your Search results

• Sort the Orders by clicking on the Sort Attribute in the list and moving it to the top by clicking on the

Up button

• Click on the Submit button

• You can now use the system default view or the one you created – e.g. select the custom view and

make it Active; the custom view is now your personal default view

These above steps referred to Customizable Results Views for Order Searches – the same steps are used in Customizable Results Views for Offering Searches

Execute a Search

Execute a Basic Search

1. Click on the Search Offerings / Securities menu

2. Specify the Search Scope:

– All Offerings will allow the search to include all offerings available

– New Offerings will limit the search to offerings added on the current business day

3. Select the Product Type(s) you wish to search by clicking in the box beside it (Note: at least one

Product Type must be selected)

4. Enter a Value for any Attribute you wish to screen

5. Click Submit

Execute a Saved Search

• Go to the Search Offerings / Securities menu

• Click the Saved Search submenu

• A list of saved searches will be displayed

• Click the Search Name you wish to execute. User created

searches are located under the heading List of Saved Searches on the left. System created searches are on the right

Execute an Advanced Search

The Advanced Search allows you to specify a greater number of search values, exclusions and sorting options

for the Results.

• Execute steps 1) through 3) as per the Basic Search above

• Click the Advanced Search button (upper, middle)

• Enter a Value (or a range of values) you wish to include for any Attribute

• Click in the box beside “Exclude” if you wish to exclude a Value (or a range of values) for any

Attribute

User Tip

Save a Search that is used often to re-run at a later date. Enter the Search details as described above. Enter in a name for your search in the input box beside the ‘Save Search As’ button. Click on the Save Search As button

• The Sort By section at the bottom of the screen allows sorting to 3 levels with Ascending or

Descending options for each level

– Click on the first drop down box to choose the first Attribute to sort on

– Click on the drop down box below it to choose the order for the results i.e. Ascending or

Descending

– Select secondary and tertiary sort as required

• Click Submit

Modify a Saved Search

• Go to the Search Offerings / Securities menu

• Click the Saved Search submenu

• Click the Modify adjacent to the search to be modified

• Modify your search accordingly

• Click Save Search As button to save your changes

Portfolio (or Bid Lists)

Money Market Online maintains custom Bid Lists (or portfolios); portfolios for trading can also be imported and

exported, in CSV format, using the Create Portfolio submenu.

Create and Save a New Portfolio

• Go to the Portfolio / Create Portfolio menu

• Select an Account ID from the drop down menu

• Click Add Item button to add a row for the first portfolio holding

• Enter the CUSIP, Buy / Sell, Quantity, and Settlement date

• Repeat the above step for each holding in your portfolio

• Enter the Portfolio Name that you desire and click on the Save Portfolio As button

Load a Saved Portfolio into the Portfolio Screen

• Go to the Portfolio / Saved Portfolio submenu

• Click the Portfolio Name for the portfolio to be loaded. The contents of the selected portfolio are

displayed

View Totals for a Portfolio

• Scroll down to the Totals section. The Principal, Accrued and Total Due is displayed for all the securities in your

portfolio

Initiate Orders for One or More Securities in a Portfolio / Bid List

• Go to the Portfolio / Create Portfolio submenu

• Create a portfolio as described above

• Check the box to the left of the securities on which you would like to submit orders

• In the Choose Action dropdown box, select Buy / Sell

• Click Go

• Enter any additional order details on the Enter Buy / Sell Order Form presented

Load a Featured or Saved Portfolio

1. Go to the Portfolio/Featured Portfolio submenu

2. Click on the Portfolio to be displayed

Home – Click on Home, or the CIBC logo, in the upper left of the screen, to take you to the home or main

Money Market Online page.

Change Password – use this submenu to change your password; just fill-out the presented form and click

on the Change Password button.

Do not forget to log off by clicking on Logout located on the upper right hand corner of the web page.
