E-Filing

Create a Filing

1. Login. (Refer to Create Account, Dashboard & Navigation User Guide if you have not yet created your E-Filing account).

2. Click Create Filing. Choose from the drop downs on each field. (a red *asterisk denotes compulsory fields to fill in).

3. Click Save & Next.

4. Fill in Values if known.

5. Click Save & Next.

7. Role e.g. choose Claimant

8. What is your Representation?. Choose Litigant in Person. The screen now changes to reflect extra fields to fill in.

9. Fill in appropriate Name/Address/Country/Phone & E-mail fields. (a red *asterisk denotes compulsory fields to fill in)

10. When finished click Save.

Details show on the next screen.

E-Filing

Filing Information

1. `Filed on Behalf of` tick next to your name.

2. You will need to Upload the document. Click Browse to locate locally saved documents.

3. Fill in any other details as appropriate. For example you may want it mark it Confidential and add in Comments.

4. If you have more documents, click `Add Another` link and repeat Steps 2 & 3.

5. Click Save & Next.

Filing Information

1. The Filing is now ready for submission. Click Add to Basket

Fees will show on this screen.

2. Click Submit Filings

Payment

1. Click Pay by Card and OK.

2. Select appropriate payment method. Fill in the card details.

Tip

• You will receive a Submission Confirmation on E-File.

• You will also receive an email confirmation of payment.

E-Filing

Case Status and Alerts

1. Click `HM Courts & Tribunals E-Filing Service` Link to get back to the Dashboard.

Widgets are now populated with Case details e.g. Submitted Fillings.

Case Status/Accepted

The Case will be looked at by the Courts. All correspondence will come through as Alert into E-File and show in the Widgets.

Note - you will receive emails to notify you that an Alert has been sent, or when Filings are Accepted or Rejected.

E-Filing

Resubmit a Rejected Filing

If a Filing is rejected from the Courts, you will receive an email and need to resubmit the Filing.

1. Login and click Filings – Rejected.

The screen shows the Rejection and a reason. E.g. Signature required. Amend the document and save it locally to be uploaded again.

Note – You will be resubmitting a copy of the Filing (all details you previously entered are still there).

Resubmit a Rejected Filing

2. Tick the box on the left of the rejected Filing and click Resubmit (arrow icon).

3. On the popup dialog box click OK.

Resubmit a Rejected Filing

4. Click Filing Information tab (top of screen) which takes you to the document upload screen.

5. Click Replace. The button changes to allow you to Browse and upload the correct document.

6. Click Save & Next.

Printing

Print a PDF

1. Click Filings – Approved.

2. Click into the appropriate Filing.

3. Click the Preview icon of the PDF you want to print.

Printing

4. Issue when printing.

Sometimes a PDF is larger than a standard A4 sheet when its printed out.

It can look fine in the preview but when it is printed using the default Actual Size option, the printer cuts the edges of the court seal and the text under the seal.

5. Workaround.

In the Adobe Reader print dialog box, choose Fit to size option and then print.
