USER DOCUMENTATION FOR SYDNEY TOUR IOS APPLICATION

Abstract

This user documentation is created with respect to the development of the iOS

application Sydney Tour. This application is regarding the information of the locations in the

Sydney city. The general public are the clients for this application. The future enquiries

regarding the application are directed to our project coordinator Dr. Ahmed Nadeeem.

The complete development team for this application is Divya Nalla, Raja Kandasamy,

Rajashekar Donti, Ren Zhu and Sadah Omar Sulaiman

1. Installation

The application Sydney Tour can be searched and find for using in the iOS mobile

devices like iPhone, iPad and iPod in the app store in those particular devices. The search

bar of the app store, type as “Sydney Tour” so that the corresponding results are displayed

in the search result page. Here along with the results select the application named “Sydney

Tour”. The corresponding page of the Sydney Tour application installing page will be

displayed. Tap the “free” button on the screen, it means the application is free to download

and install. Then the user will be requested to enter the apple id and the password for the

user authentication. After all the above mentioned process, then the application will start

download and install automatically in the device.

2. How to use the application

The following step will provide the direction to use the iPhone application which was

developed for the final year project as team.

2.1. Tap the Sydney Tour Application

The Sydney Tour application needs to be taped for accessing the specification of the

app. This will open the application and put the user on the homepage of the application.

2.2. Home screen

The home screen of the application has the background of the Sydney Opera House

and three buttons to explore the specifications of the application. The names of the buttons

are,

2.2.1. Search

After the search button is tapped then the button will take the user to the page that

has the search bar. Here the user can type the key words to find the location of all the

places that is Sydney city. This page then will list the number of results so that the user can

choose any of the one the user desires.

Select the desired one then the map view of the current location will be displayed on

the mobile screen. Then the user can navigate their route from the current location to the

desired location.

The user can also find the information of the location by tapping the pin point of the

destination location. This will provide the user with the proper address of the location,

image of the location (if available).

2.2.2. Categories

When the user taps this categories button, then the list of categories page is

displayed on the mobile screen. Then the user can tap any of the listed category option.

Then the page will lead the user to the available options of the location on the Google map.

Then the user can choose the desired or the location nearby.

Here in the user selects the airport option, then the next page will be displayed as shown

below.

The famous places page has the around five important places to be visited around

Sydney city. The places are as listed below,

The above mentioned places are listed on the famous places place, so that the user

can tap any of the desired location and find the information and the location of that

particular page.
