Leave packages inposition until solidly frozen, then stackand store in any convenient place inthe Food Freezer.

2. The Removable ShelfIt's directly under the top shelf andmay be removed if desired, when freez-ing extra large items such as a turkey, ham, large beef roast or the like. Thisshelf provides a wealth of extra storagespace for keeping foods that have al-ready been frozen.

3. Pastry RackDesigned for the safe storage of piesand cakes, protects fragile crusts anddelicate icings-keeps pastries from be-ing crushed by other foods. The rackwill accommodate two pies and onecake or three pies. Center shelf is re-movable. If the rack is not needed forpies or cakes, you will find it a con-venience when freezing trays of appe-

tizers, individual desserts and the like.It. will also serve as a convenient placeto group and store small items. ThePastry Rack is removable and may beused on aI)Y one of the fast freezingshelves in your Food Freezer.

4. Drop-leaf Grille FrontThere are three Drop-leaf Grille Frontsto prevent frozen foods from slidingoff the shelves. The middle one protectsfoods on both the removable shelf andthe fast-freezing shelf directly belowit. Each Grille Front is hinged so thatby lifting up, it will unlock and swingforward. When Grille is lowered tothis position it becomes a convenientshelf for holding food packages andcontainers during loading or re-arrange-ment. When returned to its verticalposition the Grille Front drops downand locks securely into place.

Target-Light Safety SignalTo indicate that your Food Freezer isin normal operating condition, thereis a special Target-Light Safety Signallocated on the front of the Food Freezerdoor near the base. 3. If the temperature within the FoodFreezer has risen above the operatingrange and the Interior Light and powersupply check satisfactorily, call yourFrigidaire Serviceman.

NOTE: Placing an unusual

amount of warm food in theFood Freezer at one time willtend to raise the temperaturewithin the Freezer. This may

cause the Target-light SafetySignal to go off. When theFreezer temperature is loweredto its normal operating range, the light will go on again.

When the Food Freezer is firstused, the Target-light will notgo on until operating temper-atures have been reached.

Locating the FreezerFor your own convenience, be sure togive careful consideration to the loca-tion of the Frigidaire Food Freezer inyour home. Its upright design and newstreamlined beauty will add extra at-tractiveness as well as extra convenienceto your kitchen. If possible, see that it isplaced so that it will save you steps andtime. For greatest economy avoid plac-ing the Food Freezer too close tokitchen range, radiator, water heater orother source of heat or where it will beexposed to the direct rays of the sun.For proper air circulation, allow at least4 inches between wall and Food Freezer.

Using the Freezer the first timeGive your Food Freezer a chance toreach freezing temperatures before youstart to use it. Connect the Freezer byinserting the electric plug into the walloutlet and set the Cold Control to"Normal." (Do not plug other appli-ances into the same outlet.) Allow theFreezer to operate for several hours oruntil the Target-Light Safety Signal onthe exterior of the door glows. Whenthe Signal-Light glows it is cold enoughto put in food already frozen. If youplan to freeze food, allow the FoodFreezer to run approximately 10 to 12hours before placing food in freezer.
