“Without WebQuarters tools and expertise GATES would have

struggled to establish the confidence in

Apps 10, going live with CAMRO creates a

tremendous platform for growth and optimisation

across the GATES business.”

GATES are the first company to go live with the IFS Applications™ 10 CAMRO application. The successful go live has paved the way for other organisations in the aviation MRO business to undertake the same upgrade and provide them with the confidence that IFS will support the long term strategic aims of their organisations.

“GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) have been live with a heavily modified legacy version of IFS v2004, which supports our Complex MRO Services, out of Helsinki, Finland.

The GATES business is operating in the Aerospace sector which is experiencing double digit growth year upon year. GATES needed to replace IFS or upgrade to IFS Apps 10 CAMRO (Complex Aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) to cope with the increase in shop visits.

The GATES Leadership Team were nervous about Apps 10 CAMRO as no other client had gone live with this version and GATES were concerned that perhaps Apps 10 would also require heavy modifications.

The WebQuarters team used its PULSE tools and methodology to help GATES baseline and benchmark its people, process and technology, which supported the decision to conduct a 3 month comprehensive Fit-Gap assessment to establish if IFS Apps 10 CAMRO was fit for purpose.

The WebQuarters Fit-Gap proved successful and it was proven to the board that IFS Apps 10 was an ideal fit for GATES, and on Sunday 1st September, WebQuarters and IFS successfully took GATES live with Apps 10 CAMRO.”

“Replacing IFS with SAP would have

caused significant BAU disruption and would

require significant investment. Thanks to

IFS and WebQuarters, Al Rabie have selected

the right partners to embark on a on

our journey of digital transformation”

Nisar AhmedChief Financial Officer - Al Rabie

Al Rabie are one of the first organisations in the Middle East region to upgrade to Apps10. The CEO of Al Rabie is a key regional influencer and the success of this project provides both IFS and WebQuarters with a shining regional and industry Apps10 upgrade case study.

As Mr. Nisar indicated, Al Rabie were considering a replacement ERP system so it is important to note the tri-partite partnership between Al Rabie, IFS and WebQuarters not only ensured this company remained an IFS client but also provided the springboard for other Middle East clients to have the confidence to upgrade.

“The WebQuarters PULSE tools and methodology helped Al Rabie baseline and benchmark our people, process and technology, enabling our Leadership Team to quantify the inefficiency of our current IFS installation, which resulted in a get-well phase of improvement initiatives, followed by a fully optimised reimplementation of IFS Apps 10.

Al Rabie had decided to replace IFS with SAP until the WebQuarters team, in particular WebQuarters CEO Mr. Alan O’Neil, and the PULSE tools helped us re-evaluate our decisions.

The get-well phase convinced our users that IFS was actually fit for purpose, the results from the PULSE Improvement Initiatives convinced us to invest in IFS Apps 10.

“The Binding Site has been a satisfied Global

Support Customer of WebQuarters for several years, their tools methodology and approach are

enabling The Binding Site Leadership Team

to make informed decisions about the

Solution Landscape and Digitalisation Initiatives.”

Tim HinckleyIT Director - Churchill China

The tri-partite approach developed by WebQuarters, IFS and The Binding Site is ensuring IFS remains the ERP application of choice. This is the purpose of the Fit-Gap assessment conducted by WebQuarters, based on our methodology and approach.

“The Binding Site implemented IFS in 2015. A Solution Design decision was taken at that time to go-live with a simplified version of IFS to reduce validation and user complexity.

This design decision, coupled with rapid growth of the business and the recruitment of many new employees from previous life-sciences backgrounds, has resulted in many users and the Leadership Team questioning if IFS is actually the correct solution for The Binding Site, or should the business now be thinking of replacing IFS with something like SAP, which many newer employees have used with their previous employers.

The WebQuarters PULSE tools and methodology helped The Binding Site to baseline and benchmark our people, process and technology, which led to the decision to conduct a more comprehensive Fit-Gap assessment, to establish if IFS was fit for purpose.

The early signs of the Fit-Gap is proving that IFS Apps 10 is actually an ideal fit for The Binding Site and even modules such as CRM, Quality and Projects seem to tick the vast majority of user requirements, although at this juncture the Fit-Gap is still ongoing and no decisions have been made to keep IFS, as yet.

Without WebQuarters The Binding Site would have almost certainly decided to replace the IFS Solution”
