Purmo panel radiators represent the perfect fusion of high technical
quality, functionality, and attractive design. We understand that heat-
ing solutions are not only a means to provide the perfect indoor climate
in every room year-round, but also serve as an integral part of the look
and feel of your indoor world. That’s why we’ve created radiators and
heating solutions that enhance not just the comfort, but also the style
and design of your home, your business space, and the life you live.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Our integrated thermostatic valve
allows the regulation of water flow
in each radiator for consistent and
even heating in every room. Designed
to respond almost immediately to
temperature fluctuations, our heating
solutions provide a comfortable indoor
climate regardless of what’s going on
inside the room or out.
It’s attention to detail that sets us apart
ENERGY SAVINGS
Our steel panel radiators are
among the most energy efficient
on the market. Large convector
plates and precision placement
of the network of water chan-
nels inside means optimal water
distribution and heat transmission.
This heat output is attained from
a remarkably low volume of water.
This results in a very low thermal
mass—which means the radiators
can respond almost instantly to
variations in room air temperature
or system-internal heat gains—so
you never use more energy than
you need while maintaining your
ideal indoor climate.
Compact VentilThe versatile PURMO Compact Ventil panel radiators with profiled heating
panels and convection fins are equipped with side covers and a top grille.
Two bottom and four side ½“ threaded female connectors allow for bottom
or side connection. The radiator is also equipped with a built-in thermostatic
valve insert providing pre-setting. (Thermostatic operater sold separately.)
The Compact Ventil is a variation on the classic Compact model. The profiled
front hides the pipe system and valve, creating a clean, uncluttered look.

EXAMPLE: A system has a design condition with an entering water temperature (EWT) of 140º and a leaving water temperature (LWT) of 120º along with an ambient room air temperature of 68º. The selected radiator is Purmo model CV22, 600 x 1200 (19-5/8” x 47-1/4”). Purmo model CV22, 600 x 1200 has a certified thermal output of 9,380 BTU/Hr at 180º average water temperature (AWT). The correction factor at 140/120/68 is .46. As a result, the corrected output of the CV22, 600 x 1200 is 4,315 BTH/Hr (9,380 x .46).
additional informationthermal output of the radiators
Thermal output of the radiators was determined in accordance with PN-EN 442 based on laboratory measurements. The temperatures of 167/149/68 ºF (75/65/20 ºC) were accepted as reference values.Thermal output of the radiators for other values can be calculated with the following formula:
where: ø - thermal output of the radiator [BTU/Hr or W] øn - thermal output of the radiator determined based on measurments in accordance with PN-EN 442 [BTU/Hr or W] ∆t - logarithmic difference of temperatures [K] ∆tn - logarithmic difference of temperatures 49.833 [K] calculated for reference temperatures 167/149/68 ºF (75/65/20 ºC) n - exponent characteristic for a given type of radiator
The logarithmic difference of temperatures is calculated according to the following formula:
where: tz - supply water temperature [°F] tp - return water temperature [°F] ti - room temperature [°F]

GUARANTEE
Each PURMO radiator is guaranteed for 10 years from the date of sale against defects caused by faulty materials or manufacture. The defective product is replaced by a similar or technically corresponding radiator. The guarantee does not cover damages that are due to faulty storage and handling at delivery or installation, nor damages that are due to faulty use of the radiator, such as inside and outside rust, use of corrosive substances, too high pressure, or damage due to freezing.
Please visit our website at www.purmo-usa.com for complete warranty details.
A full variety of radiator accessories are available to complement and complete all radiator installations.
Product options include diverter and isolation valves, pex adapters, copper compression fittings, non-electric thermostatic controls, and pedestal mounting brackets.
Please refer to our website at www.purmo-usa.com for a detailed description.

PACKAGING
The panel radiators with profiled and flat front panels are delivered in a protective packaging allowing for installation without unpacking. The radiators are factory wrapped in a heat-shrinkable film. Additional protection of edges is provided by two durable, corrugated board sheets placed longitudinally on the top and bottom of the radiator. Corners are additionally protected with four plastic guards.
During installation, the packaging should be opened in the designated place only. The whole packaging can be removed after the completion of all work that could cause damage to the radiator. Before operating the radiator, the packaging must be completely removed.
Heat output values can be calculated with the output simulator on our website: www.purmo-usa.com

other connection methods
The most popular solution for connecting radiators on either the right or the left side. The supply line should be connect-ed to the top and the return line to the bottom connector pipe of the radiator. Reversed connection will cause a drop in
the heat output of over 30%. This side connection method can be used in the side-supplied radiators as well as in the bottom-supplied radiators after the re-moval of a thermostatic valve insert.
side connection
Recommended for radiators exceed-ing 78-3/4” in length and for radiators where the length exceeds four times the height. These connections provide even distribution of temperature over the entire length of the radiator. The sup-ply line should be connected to the left or right connector pipe and the return
line should be connected to the op-posite, bottom connector pipe. Reversed connection will cause a drop in the heat output of over 30%. This flow-through connection method can be used in the side-supplied radiators as well as in the bottom-supplied radiators after the re-moval of a thermostatic valve insert.
flow-through connection
opposite ends connection
bottom connection
intermediate connection
With this connection method, the heat output of the radiators will be approxi-mately 10% lower than the rated heat output. This type of connection method
is most commonly used with the side- supplied radiators. It can also be used with the bottom-supplied radiators after the removal of a thermostatic valve insert.
This connection method is used with the bottom-supplied radiators. The supply and return line axes are always located, respectively, 3-1/8” and 1-1/8”
from the side edge of the radiator. Re-versed connection will cause a drop in the heat output of over 30%.
The bottom-supplied radiators can be connected simultaneously with the side and bottom connections. Intermediate solutions (side and flow-through) are shown in the drawings at right. These solutions correspond to the side and flow-through connections described above.
