Sales Tax InformationAMSOIL INC. is registered to collect sales tax in each state, province and most local jurisdictions where applicable. AMSOIL is responsible for col-lecting and remitting sales tax to the appropriate taxing jurisdiction for all AMSOIL Dealers and accounts.

Tax Rate DeterminationSales tax rates are set in the following manner:

1. If you pick up your order at an AMSOIL Distribution center, you will be charged the applicable sales tax at that point of sale. This is the prevailing tax rate at that Distribution Center.

2. If you have the order shipped, sales tax will be charged at the rate applica-ble to the ship-to address, with the exception of orders being shipped within one of the following states: Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.

Exemption Certificates If you prefer to pay state sales tax directly to your state revenue department rather than have it collected by AMSOIL at the time of purchase, contact your state for registration information.

AMSOIL INC. requires proper documentation on file at AMSOIL Corporate Headquarters for those with an exempt status. Refer to the Uniform Sales Tax Certificate (G495) for more information. Complete the Uniform Sales Tax Certificate if you are registered with your state to collect sales tax. Sev-eral states have state-specific requirements. These include: Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming. Refer to the Uniform Sales Tax Certificate for specific state-by-state require-ments.

It is important that you are aware that under the terms of state registrations, you will be exempt only in those states in which you have a valid registra-tion. It is the responsibility of AMSOIL INC. to collect sales tax on all sales unless the products are exempt or the ultimate purchaser provides a valid exemption certificate.

If you pick up products at an AMSOIL Distribution Center in a state where you are not registered to collect sales tax you will need to complete a Uni-form Sales Tax Certificate and return it to AMSOIL INC. so the appropriate records can be updated. This will allow you to pick up products at any loca-tion with a tax exempt status because you are taking them into another state for resale. When completing the G495, ensure you enter your tax number in the field next to the state in which you are picking up AMSOIL products.

To recover or remit sales tax differences when you resell product in a differ-ent rate area, take the following steps:

1. Obtain a Sales Tax Refund Claim Form (G20) from AMSOIL INC., which is available in your Account Zone at www.amsoil.com or can be emailed or faxed upon request. Remit the completed and signed form along with the sales receipt copies of the different rate transactions.

2. Alternatively, you can deduct unrecovered portions of sales tax on your Federal Income Tax return on Schedule C.

Sales Tax Table as of Oct. 1, 2018This table provides you with the state sales tax rate and a combined average rate by state. This will allow you to estimate the sales tax due on your order. Please note that the rate is an average combined rate and there may be other local rates you need to take into consideration. Tennessee:• Effective April 1, 2011, there is a $0.02 per-quart tax on all lubricating oils in package sizes of five gallons and under.

Texas:• There is a $0.01 per-quart tax on automotive oils. This includes: engine oil, diesel oil, gear lubes, transmission fluid and hydraulic/transmission fluid.

Utah:• There are $0.04 per-quart or $0.16 per-gallon lubricating oil fees pertain-ing to all containers except those 55 gallons or bigger on the following lubricants: engine oil, diesel oil, Shock Therapy, gear lube, hydraulic oil, chain and gear oil and compressor oil.

Washington:• Effective February 1, 2012 there is a 0.7% Hazardous Substance Fee on

all AMSOIL products except air filters, oil filters, by-pass oil filters, dual-remote oil filtration kits, BP parts, oil analysis kits, antifreeze and car-care products. Fees are calculated on a per-quart basis and extended to all sizes.

Freight and Handling Information

Freight and Handling ChargesYou may order products shipped freight collect OR pre-pay the freight us-ing the schedule included in your account-specific ordering information sheet (Dealer/P.C.: G2604; Retail: G2603; Commercial: G2602).

Third-party billing is allowed. When third-party billing is requested, the UPS/FEDEX account number of the third party must be supplied at the time of order placement. Parcel Post shipments to military P.O. Boxes will be charged actual freight charges and cannot be shipped freight collect.

Additional Delivery FeesCarriers may charge an additional fee for delivery to a residence. The con-signee pays any ADDITIONAL freight charges in these situations. Allow up to 2-3 days more for rural delivery. Some LTL carriers charge a fee when customers request a call before delivery or lift gate service. The consignee pays for this additional service.

Pick-Up OrdersOrders may be picked up at an AMSOIL Distribution Center. Pick-up orders must be placed in advance by calling 1-800-956-5695 or going online to myaccount.amsoil.com. Please allow two hours for processing prior to ar-rival. All orders scheduled for “Pick Up” must be picked up within 5 days of the date of the order. This can also be pre-arranged with the distribution center manager. Orders that are not picked up within the time-frame will be cancelled.

Claims and Damaged Shipments(NOTE: Claims must be made within 7 days from the time of receipt.)

Items Picked Up at a Distribution CenterIf you pick up an order at any distribution center and discover concealed damage when the product is opened, return the damaged product to the same distribution center for exchange at your convenience. Your copy of the invoice or packing slip should accompany such an exchange. The ex-change can only be made for exactly the same products.

Parcel Post Shipments from a Distribution Center1. Claims for damages by Parcel Post must be filed by the purchaser.2. Return damaged merchandise and cartons to the local post office when

the claim is filed.3. All claims are returned to the shipper for verification of mailing date and

distributor cost of the damaged items.4. If reimbursement is made to AMSOIL INC. as the shipper, AMSOIL will

replace the shipment to the purchaser at no charge.5. You can also accept reimbursement on your claim. If so, you must place

Small Parcel ShipmentsPlease inspect the shipment before signing for delivery. When there is vis-ible damage, refuse to accept delivery. UPS/FEDEX will return the damaged goods to the AMSOIL Distribution Center and the distribution center will re-ship your order. If UPS/FEDEX delivers a package without a signature and you discover damaged goods inside, contact your local UPS/FEDEX office and refuse the shipment due to damage. When there is concealed damage discovered after you accept delivery, contact the AMSOIL Distribution Cen-ter for instructions immediately.

Backorders and InvoicesSome orders may require multiple shipments due to products placed on backorder status. Backordered items will be shipped separately. This is also true for items that are not stocked at all distribution centers. These items may also be shipped from an alternate distribution center.

In such situations, each shipment will receive a separate invoice and credit card charge. Credit cards will not be charged until items ship. Although separate invoices are issued, totals for freight charges, taxes and discounts are calculated based upon the whole order.

Backorders receive priority status and will be shipped as soon as they be-come available. When items on an order are in backorder status and the order is to be picked up at a distribution center, the backordered items can be shipped to a destination of your choosing at the actual freight charge. Questions regarding the status of backordered items should be directed to the appropriate AMSOIL Distribution Center Manager.

Backorders will be shipped to the “ship-to” address on all orders.

Other Shipments (LTL or Common Carrier)1. When damaged goods are received, have the driver make note of the

ter.4. Unlike UPS/FEDEX shipments, you should never refuse a damaged ship-

Re-Delivery ChargesIf a freight carrier is unsuccessful when attempting to deliver to a “ship-to” address, a re-delivery charge may be necessary. This will be charged to the purchaser.

Lift Gate Service (LTL or Common Carriers)Customers can request lift gate service at the time of ordering if they do not have a method of unloading large orders, 30- and 55-gallon drums or totes. Not all carriers offer this service, so when requesting it please allow additional time for delivery. AMSOIL charges customers and accounts a flat rate of $30 for all lift gate required deliveries. Customers will be prompted to accept or decline lift gate service on all qualifying orders placed online or over the telephone.

Call Before Delivery Requests (LTL or Common Carriers)At the time of order, customers can request to be contacted prior to delivery. A daytime phone number must be provided, with instructions to call before delivery. The carrier will contact the customer prior to delivery to set up a delivery time. If this service is requested, the consignee pays all costs for the additional service and will be charged the actual cost. Because these costs can vary depending upon the carrier used, it is recommended to con-tact the AMSOIL Distribution Center from which the order will be shipped prior to placing the order to obtain these costs.

ANY OTHER REQUESTS FOR SPECIAL SERVICES WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CONSIGNEE AT ACTUAL COSTS.

Shipping to APO and FPO Military Post BoxesAMSOIL INC. ships orders to APO and FPO Military Post Boxes for cus-tomers’ personal use only. Sales tax is not charged on APO/FPO orders. Products may not be resold or redistributed. All APO/FPO orders are shipped from the AMSOIL Distribution Center in Superior, Wis. The United States Postal Service (USPS) will not accept AMSOIL Fuel Additives or Aerosol con-tainers for shipment, or any product marked with “**” in this price list. Distribution Center to arrange surface transportation for large orders and orders with restricted items.

For purchases made from the AMSOIL Distribution Center in Alaska, add 7.5% to the total cost for extra freight expenses from the contiguous U.S. to Alaska. Alaskan orders for Superior-only items are charged actual freight.
