Dissolve 5 g of potassium hydroxide in 25 mL of warm alcohol, cool the solution, and add it slowly, without stirring, to the alcohol solution of lead acetate. After 1 hour shake the mixture vigorously, allow it to stand overnight, decant the clear liquid, and recover the alcohol by distillation Ref N: USP355 Performance test: passes test Expiry date: XXXXXX The reagent is specially intended for use in testing USP and monographs. This solution was produced according USP specifications using USP reagent quality components and water meeting the USP monograph requirement for Purified Water.
