Strategy
TAACCCT Grant Overview$500 million in FY 12 grant funds
– 27 Consortium Projects funded in Round II
Purpose:
– Expand and improve the ability to deliver education and career training programs that can be completed in 2 years or less (i.e. Capacity Building + Training)
– Focus is on TAA-eligible individuals and veterans, but others can be served
– Improve employment outcomes

State-wide Project Overview “Making the Future” is a state-wide project designed to
develop, improve, and expand adult educational training pathways to careers in advanced manufacturing
Each College identified a scope of work that was based on local district needs and was within project parameters and manufacturing focus
Consortium grant is $15M
Disciplines focused on are Machine Tool, CNC, Welding, and Industrial Maintenance

Consultant for adult and experiential learning will visit colleges, facilitate workshops and trainings, and provide a final report that proposes system-wide recommendations for awarding credit for prior learning

Colleges will receive a Standard Timing Model (STM) machine and training: STM is a mechanical tool used by industry to assess mechanical aptitude, skills, and instincts
Online case management/information sharing system to be developed in collaboration with the Workforce Development Boards
