KEY FINDINGS

US• With fiscal stimulus still boosting economic growth, plus solid gains in income, fourth-quarter GDP

growth should register 2.8%, bringing overall 2018 growth to 3.1%.

• Slowing global growth, a strong dollar, fading fiscal stimulus, tightening monetary policy, weaker stock prices, the effects of recent tariffs, and approaching capacity constraints point to a material slowdown in the pace of US growth this year. We project GDP growth of 2.1% (fourth quarter over fourth quarter) across 2019.

Metros• In 2019 Midland will lead all metros in GMP growth, one of 63 with greater than 3% growth

• Another 192 will reach 2% growth

• Only 18 will fail to reach 1%
