US Club Soccer Player Registration

Step 1: Submit Teams to TCSL **for this step, players do not need to be assigned to a team and instead can be a team “shell” without players assigned**

How to submit teams to TCSL in advance of each season

Step 2: Assign Players to Team “None” If a team still has players assigned to it from a previous registration year (i.e. carding for 2019-20 but the player list has players assigned from 2018-19), we recommend starting from scratch and removing those players from respective teams.

1. Club Tab → Players 2. Check the box next to each player you wish to unassign 3. In the upper right-hand corner, assign the selected player to “none”

Step 3: Upload Players/Assign Players to Teams

Through the upload tool, upload the new season’s players and assign players to the teams through the upload.

1. Club Tab → Players → Upload Players 2. Populate the import template, linked below, with your player data 3. Follow the video linked below for how to import players and assign players to teams

Video - How to Import Players into GotSoccer Club Account

Player Import Template (CSV)

A unique ID number will be assigned when uploaded for each player. Do not change the ID numbers.

Important hints:

● For state, enter “MN” as opposed to “Minnesota” ● Level is always “Competitive” ● ID numbers should never be imported.

Once complete, all players are now assigned to teams.

Step 4: US Club Medical Liability Waiver/Release

US Club Soccer requires either a medical liability waiver/release uploaded to the player’s profile or for the club to certify that it is on file.

The form is linked here for reference.

In order to complete this step, you must “enroll” each player in the “Signed US Club Medical Waiver Form” program.

1. Club Tab → Players 2. Select the “Signed US Club medical Waiver Form” program and press “Select” 3. Check the appropriate players and click “Enroll Selected Players”

Step 5: Photo, Birth Certificate and/or Medical Documents Upload

1. Club Tab → Players 2. Select a player by clicking on the player’s ID number in the left-hand side

3. Upload the photo if necessary by clicking on the “Upload” button. Proceed to the “Documents” button to upload proof of birth and/or medical release*. A photo is required of every player in order to receive a pass.

*The medical release physical document is not required to be uploaded to the player’s profile as long as the player has been added to the “program” in Step 4 above. By adding to the program, the club agrees that the appropriate form is on file with the club.

4. Upload the documents as appropriate.

Please note: if a player was previously carded with US Club Soccer in the last three years, a birth certificate is not required to be uploaded. TCSL will cross reference a master list of prior approved players and will approve the player if the player was approved/prior age-verified with US Club Soccer.

Now you must submit the players to TCSL for final approval. Once TCSL approves the players, the yellow lock icon appears next to each player.

Complete this step after:

1) you have uploaded a proof of birth document to each player’s profile, OR 2) the player was previously carded within US Club Soccer in the previous three (3) years (proof of birth not

required)

1. Club Tab → Players

2. Select the players you wish to submit to TCSL for approval, and then click “Verify Selected” in the upper right hand corner.

There are two different ways in which US Club Soccer ID cards and US Club Soccer official rosters can be printed: by the club, or delegated to the team (in other words, populating the ID cards into each team’s GotSoccer team account)

A US Club Soccer official roster should only be needed if a team is playing in a tournament/event that requires a roster. TCSL league matches use GotSoccer game cards associated with each match for TCSL leagues and events.
