GREASE - THE KWESKIN THEATRE September 13 thru October 12 (Gala Season Opening performance and party—September 12)

A powerhouse Broadway musical and enduring movie classic, Grease picks up the story of bad boy Danny and girl-next-door Sandy where their summer lovin’ leaves off: at the start of a new school year at Rydell High, 1959. Amid fast cars, teen angst, and moon-lit nights, the two discover that, to remain hopelessly devoted, sometimes you’ve got to wake up, shape up, and shake it up! Injected with irresistible music and electrifyin’ dance numbers, Grease has earned its place among the world’s most popular musicals. This production includes the hit songs “Greased Lightning,” “We Go Together,” “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” and “You’re The One That I Want.”

THE UNDERPANTS - THE DRESSING ROOM THEATRE November 1 thru 17

Legendary comedian and writer Steve Martin is back with a riotously funny farce. Newly married Louise is bored with her demanding and uptight bureaucrat husband. Then one day at the royal parade, she jumps up on a bench to see the king go by, and oops—wardrobe malfunction!—her bloomers come loose and fall down around her ankles. Her husband is frantic that her faux pas will cost him his job and reputation. But suddenly the room they’ve been trying to rent out has plenty of takers, and it just might have something to do with…the underpants. Steve Martin, who gave audiences hits like Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Bright Star, and Meteor Shower, brings us a hilarious look at sudden fame and the crazy things people do when they’re in the grip of romantic fever. The New York Times calls the play “laugh-out-loud funny!” and “an amalgam of comic book and social commentary made out of sex jokes, slamming doors, and sophisticated repartee.”

A CHRISTMAS STORY, The Musical - THE KWESKIN THEATRE November 15 thru December 14 (Evening performances at 7:30pm)

From the songwriting team behind the smash-hit Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen and the Academy Award-winning film La La Land, A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL, brings the classic 1983 movie to hilarious life on stage! Based on the perennial holiday movie favorite, A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL chronicles young and bespectacled Ralphie Parker as he schemes his way toward the holiday gift of his dreams, an official Red Ry-der® Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle (“You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!”). An infamous leg lamp, outra-geous pink bunny pajamas, a maniacal department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the distractions that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas wish. Hailed by The Associated Press as “a joyous Christmas miracle.” The New York Times writes “I was dazzled. You’d have to have a Grinch-sized heart not to feel a smile spreading across your face.”

SOCIAL SECURITY - THE DRESSING ROOM THEATRE September 19 thru October 6

This hilarious Broadway comedy surrounds a married couple who are art dealers. Their domestic tranquility is shattered upon the arrival of the wife’s goody-goody nerd of a sister, her uptight CPA husband, and her archetypal Jewish mother. They are there to try to save their college-student daughter from the horrors of living only for sex. The comic sparks really begin to fly when the mother hits it off with the elderly minimalist artist who is the art dealers’ best client! "Just when you were beginning to think you were never going to laugh again on Broadway, along comes Social Security and you realize that it is once more safe to giggle in the streets. Indeed, you can laugh out loud, joyfully, with, as it were, social security, for the play is a hoot, and better yet, a sophisticated, even civi-lized hoot." - New York Post

SOMETHING ROTTEN - THE KWESKIN THEATRE January 31 - February 22 It’s 1595 and brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rockstar known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world's very first MUSICAL! This new show features one of the most clever and funny production numbers to appear on Broadway since the Little Old Lady walker dance in The Producers... and almost every number from Spamalot. DON’T miss this one!

BEYOND THERAPY - THE DRESSING ROOM THEATRE

March 5—15

Bruce meets Prudence at a restaurant. It is their first date, and they are both nervous. They shake hands. Bruce gestures her to her seat, and sits down across from her. He looks into her eyes. They share a moment. “You have beautiful breasts,” he says, and the worst date in human history is on its way. Beyond Therapy is likely Christopher Durang’s best play, and we’re thrilled to bring it back to Curtain Call after nearly 30 years! Prudence is alone in a jungle of naked ids, including her lascivious therapist Stuart , Bruce, Bruce’s lover Bob and Bruce’s therapist Mrs. Wallace, whose aphasic loopiness masks a profound hostilty to her patients and to…to everyone, really. (Note: contains Adult Themes and language.)

NUNSENSE - THE KWESKIN THEATRE

April 2 - 25

Nunsense begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of Grease. Here we meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. Featuring star turns, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises, this show has become an international phenomenon.

CROSSING DELANCEY - THE DRESSING ROOM THEATRE

April 30 - May 17 Come to New York's Lower East Side, visit with Izzy, and sit a spell with her Bubbie (grandmother) in this romantic comedy as Izzy yearns to trade her traditional Jewish upbringing for the slick glamour of Manhattan's literary scene. Learn from Bubbie's old-world wisdom as she encourages Izzy to find real happiness by choosing a nice pickle salesman from the neighborhood over a sophisticated author. Crossing Delancey feels suffused with female energy, putting women’s concerns first, and it’s simultaneously sharp and affectionate.

KINKY BOOTS - THE KWESKIN THEATRE

June 5 - 27 Winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a joyous, Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, and an hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner, Harvey Fierstein. The exhilarating true story about a struggling shoe factory will lift your spirits to high-heeled heights! Kinky Boots will have you dancing in the aisles and discovering why, sometimes, the best way to fit in... is to stand out!
