There may be a wart under the right thumb and a bandage around the little finger. But the important thing about his hand is that it is the hand that some day may hold a Bible or a Colt revolver; play a piano or spin a gambling wheel; gently dress a leper’s wound or tremble wretchedly, uncontrolled by an alcoholic mind. Right now, that hand is yours…it asks for help and guidance.” - Author Unknown I’ve said that Vacation Bible School is my favorite time of the year outside of Christmas and Easter. It’s a time to evangelize to children and speak of the great things Christ has done for us. This Sunday we have a baptism service and I pray you will be blessed. It will be a great reminder that we need to continue to do God’s work by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. As you see the baptisms this Sunday, look into the eyes of the children and the adults after they are baptized. See that they are so happy to have been given the gift of eternal life. Then ask yourself, “What can I do today to tell someone about Jesus Christ?” I pray we all ask this of ourselves and see the opportunities that God has placed in our path. Thank you for your willingness to evangelize. After all, someone once evangelized to us. Love You All In Christ, Bro. Why evangelize children?

Christian workers have the never ending job of telling others that the Son of God died for them that they might be saved.

“When a boy or girl thrusts his small hand into yours, it may be smeared with chocolate ice cream, or grimy from petting a dog. Right now, that hand is yours…it asks for help and guidance.” - Author Unknown

I’ve said that Vacation Bible School is my favorite time of the year outside of Christmas and Easter.

Musically Speaking

Stuart Underwood, Minister of Music

Thanks to George Munday for his beautiful offertory "His Eye Is On the Sparrow" and for filling in at the piano. Thanks to the Adult Choir and Narrator for a wonderful "Patriotic Celebration". This Sunday the Adult Choir will be singing a great "Heaven Medley". This includes "Some Day", "I'll Fly Away", "Goodbye World, Goodbye" and "Just a Little While". Have a great week!
