Area Meetingsthanking for his prayer and commented that hisprayers had been answered. She said “I am short and very sweet”.McClenahan introduced the theme for the year, “Rotary Shares.”The essence of Rotary is about sharing. We share our time, talent, resources, and our love. In conjunction with this year’s theme"Rotary Shares," we want our club leaders and members to sharetheir success stories about sponsoring new members. As anexample, she shared a jar of M&M’s with the club. She asked allmembers to think of M&Ms as “More Members”. The first personshe shared the jar with, had to have his hands slappedbecause he was going to dig in without a spoon. Each club presi-dent is expected to bring in a new member and she will come backand give Daphne a new member pin. As the M&M’s went aroundthe room, she changed the meaning of M&M’s to “More Money”.She said we need to think about more fundraising. Rotary Interna-tional needs more money. Other ways to contribute to the Founda-tion is through the Paul Harris and Paul Harris Society Founda-tions. Governor McClenahan concluded by recognizing our cluband certain members for their contribution to Rotary. A special pinwith a prospector on it and a rotary wheel in a gold pan was pre-sented to the following Rotarians: thanks to for hisdedicated service and always keeping the PA system going; to

for her hours and hours of work on the newsletterand website; to for her service above self work onprograms and the Oktoberfest fundraiser; to for hiscoordination of programs and sports programs; to forhis “can do attitude”; and lastly, to President Daphne for sharingher talent and expertise as President for the year. She closed bythanking the club for our continued service above self and alsoasked for Rotarians to consider volunteering for the InternationalConference that will be held in Los Angeles next year.

Before adjourning the meeting, President Daphne thanked theDistrict Governor and all who were recognized at the meeting. Sheagain welcomed our newest member, Paul Hensler.
