PRESIDENT’S DAY February 19, 2018 Please note, that due to a scheduling

conflict, our Harvest Meal Fundraiser will be on Thursday, November 16, 2017 NOT on Friday, November 17, 2017 as listed on the Academic Calendar. Plates are $10.00. Your child’s teacher will have order forms for distribution.

Orders that require delivery, must be turned in NO LATER THAN Monday, November 13, 2017 along with donation.

Meal will consist of (but not limited to): Ham/turkey Dressing/gravy/cranberry sauce Macaroni and cheese Green beans Potato Salad Rolls We will need parent volunteers to make this a success.

TUITION EXPRESS: Please be reminded that ALL

PARENTS/GUARDIANS must have a Tuition Express Authorization for weekly tuition drafts on file. Tuition drafts are made on Monday of each week unless there is a bank closure in which tuition will be drafted on the next business day.

Several parents/guardians have expressed that Monday drafts is not the best option for them. Because of the number of parent accounts, it is not feasible to honor individual parent requests for a different day or pay schedule, however there is another option.

1. You may pay on your account at the check in station. 2. You may pay online using MyProCare. You can access the

site at https://www.myprocare.com/ PLEASE NOTE: If your account does not have a $00.00 balance on Monday by 12:00pm, the system will post your balance to your account. If funds are not available, you will incur NSP fees.

EVERYONE MUST HAVE A TUITION EXPRESS FORM ON FILE.

PROCARE CHECK-IN: Please make sure that you are checking your child in and out at the check-in station.

LATE CHECK-IN: During our parent meetings in August, we notified EVERY parent/guardian that each child must be checked

in prior to 9:00am daily. A child will be permitted to be checked in after 9:00am only if all the following are true. 1. Parent/guardian has notified Love N Cherish Academy via email (academy@lovencherish.org) that the child/children

will be late to a doctor’s appointment OR a phone call has been made as notification PRIOR to arrival. 2. Parent/guardian brings in a written doctor’s note upon check in. WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT FAXED DOCTOR’S

EXCUSES. If none of these are met, your child’s teacher will call administration and your child will not be accepted into care.

CHILD BELONGINGS: With the winter months approaching, our students will need more clothing at the center/school.

Please make sure that ALL your child’s clothes are labeled. If your child’s items are not labeled, we are not responsible for lost items.

OUTDOOR PLAY: It is that time of year when many parents/guardians are concerned about their child/children going

outside. Our regulatory agencies require that ALL STUDENTS HAVE OUTDOOR TIME/PLAY DAILY. We will not be able to honor personal request for your child not to go outside. If your child has a condition in which he/she will not be able to go outside, he/she will need to have a written physician’s statement stating such. In most cases when these notes are written by a physician, the student has a condition or illness in which they SHOULD NOT be in attendance.

CENTER COMMUNICATION: Love N Cherish Academy will send out a monthly newsletter will an overview of the center

happenings. Individual classrooms will send out weekly updates/correspondences regarding classroom specific events.

CLASSROOM COMMUNICATION: Parents and guardian should be receiving weekly communications from your child’s

teacher(s). These communications may be via printed newsletters and/or GroupMe.

CUBBY: Each child who attends Love N Cherish Academy has a cubby (infants may have a LNCA bag) for belongings that need

to be washed and for administrative and teacher correspondences. Parents/guardians are responsible for checking the cubby/bag daily.

MYPROCARE: In addition to being able to make payments on this program, you also have access to other information such

as child notes. In order to access the system, you must be a payer on the child’s account with a valid email in the system. If you have difficulties getting on the site, please contact Freda at alfreda@lovencherish.org.

Love N Cherish Academy has a goal to renovate our student’s playground(s). In the past, we have chosen to have natural playgrounds, however administration feels that after the acquisition of our A+ ABC Quality status that our students need a more modern playground. Our director, Ms. Erica gathered quotes from several companies to renovate our

playground(s). The cost of the equipment alone is $8261.94 with an additional $4000.00 for construction. We would REALLY like our playgrounds to be renovated, but we need your help! We will be doing several fundraisers to meet our goal. We ask that all parents/guardians meet the minimum requirement for our fundraisers. You will also see containers in your child’s classroom for change. Please bring in your spare change. EVERY penny helps.

Thanks to all parents/guardians who supported our Fall Festival. All proceeds willl go to our “Pennies for the Playground” Project.

Love N Cherish Academy students and teachers will be present a Christmas Musical on December 21, 2017 @ 6:30pm. Each child will have a part in the play with parental consent. Rehersals for the program will be incorprated into our daily curricullum. Dinner will be a full meal (not just hot dogs and/or sphaghetti). Parents/guardians will receive 1 free admisstion ticket for each 6 tickets sold. The famly who sells the most tickets will receive a complete uncooked Christmas meal to take home. TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2017

Again this year we will be participating in the Rock Hill Christmas parade on Friday, December 1, 2017. This is always an enjoyable event for our students and families. This year, we will have 2 floats. We will need parental/guardian support in the following ways.

1. Donation of 200 count or more clear christmas lights. 2. Float decorating (to begin at 4:00pm the day of the

parade). 3. Chaperones

As the weeks draw near, you will receive additional details regarding the schedule of events for the evening.

Love N Cherish Academy is

This program serves

families with children 6

weeks-36 months (3 years)

of age in Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Berkeley, Dillon,

Georgetown, Laurens, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg,

Saluda and York counties.

For those families who qualify, free, year-round education and

care. CENTER-BASED SERVICES INCLUDE: • Qualified

Early Childhood teachers provide a nurturing environment. •

Creative Curriculum is used in the classroom where the teacher

to child ratio is 1:4. • Convenient locations in selected

neighborhoods. • Ongoing support, referrals, and resources to

assist families in reaching self-sufficiency. ABC Vouchers are

accepted.

Love N Cherish Academy will be honoring our parents/guardians who serve or have served in our armed forces with a luncheon on Friday, November 10, 2017. If

you are a veteran, we encourage you to come out as we celebrate you. Please RSVP no later than Monday, November 6, 2017. There will be a sign-up sheet in each classroom.

Our staff will attend the annual SCECA Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC on January 25-27, 2018. LOVE N CHERISH ACADEMY WILL BE CLOSED ON THESE DATES.

During this conference, our adminstration and teachers attend professional development courses to obtain mandatory continuing education credit hours and obtain the lastest information on best Early Childhood Education practices that are brought back and implemented at our school.

We would to congratulate Keisha and Eugene Ku on the birth of their daughter Kenly Joy. Kai, you will make a wonderful big brother!!!

Prayers for Bryson Bryson is one of our Teenie Turtles who has been hospitalized for 3 weeks. We are happy to say that Bryson is now out of ICU but still remains hospitalized. Please pray fro Bryson’s parents and family as this has been a very difficult time for them. Bryson, we are looking forward to seeing your smiling face back at Love N Cherish Academy. WE MISS YOU!

We would like to welcome Ms. Sheri to the Teenie Turtles & Creative Caterpillars Classrooms. Ms. Sheri has earned a double Baccalaureate Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Early Education and Special needs. She's a mother and grandmother with a love for children. Ms. Sheri will begin at our school Monday, November 6, 2017.

Please join us as we welcome back Mrs. Cynthia. Ms. Cynthia has returned on a part-time basis after having major back surgery. She is working her way back to full-time. Ms. Cynthia will be working with all of our students and teachers. Although Ms. Cynthia was on leave, she continued to further her education in early childhood.

During her leave Ms. Cynthia earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate. We applaud her on her dedication and commitment to early childhood education.

We are proud to say that after only 3 years of serving our community as an Early Childhood Education provider, growth, age of

our current building, and visons of our Founder (Mrs. Mary) and Director (Ms. Erica) LNCA will be undergoing several

renovation projects. We ask that you be patient with us as we are making improvements to our facility.

YEAR ROUND FUNDRAISERS Bring in your Box Tops. There is a collection container in each classroom. Be sure to include your child/children’s name(s) in the baggie.

Turn in your store receipts each Monday to your child’s teacher and we will do the rest.

We would like to salute our Awesome Ants teachers (Mrs. Lo and Miss Bre) and Chipper Chipmunk teacahers (Mrs. TJ and Mrs. Nikki for their work in the classroom with our students. Both classrooms have implemented new educational practices to ensure that our Love N Cherish Academy students are Kindergarten ready.
