Thames Valley Local Practice Forum & Reading School of Pharmacy PHARMACY RESEARCH CELEBRATION EVENT Thursday 28th May 7:00pm – 9:30pm (Food buffet provided from 6:30pm) Clinical Skills Suite, Room 1.24, JJ Thomson Building, University of Reading The Thames Valley LPF and Reading School of Pharmacy invite you to the above event, at which we will be celebrating the achievements of our future pharmacists and researchers and highlighting the important role that pharmacy can play in promoting innovation and development in a range of disciplines. This year, Reading School of Pharmacy marks its 10 year anniversary of providing undergraduate pharmacy education. This event will provide six of our final year students with the opportunity to present the findings of their MPharm projects, including topics relevant to hospital and community pharmacy, medicines development and healthcare recruitment. The RPS is kindly supporting the event as part of our collaboration with the Thames Valley Local Practice Forum. You will also have the opportunity to see the new teaching suite that has recently been opened for use for pharmacy teaching, and learn about the post-registration learning opportunities offered by the School. The JJ Thomson building is building 3 on the map (grid reference D5). Enter the building at the main doors and go up one flight of stairs – the entrance to the suite is in front of the stairs on the first floor.

Parking:

The closest parking is available in car park P10, next to the Chemistry and Pharmacy building (building 6 on the map).

Directions to campus:

The easiest and most direct route is via the M4 motorway.

Leave the motorway at Junction 11.

When you reach the roundabout at the top of the slip road follow the signs for the University of Reading.

Follow this road and at the first roundabout turn left on to the A327 (Shinfield Road).

Follow this road and go straight through two sets of traffic lights, passing a parade of shops and Leighton Park School.

For the main entrance:

Continue straight across at the third set of traffic lights, the junction with Pepper Lane

After the traffic light junction you will see the campus on the right hand side, enter via the Shinfield Road entrance
