When Food Makes Health Problem
Eating is the most vital and delicious part of our life. From morning to night, we connect
with a a many types of food which may be healthy or unhealthy. Most of the time, we do not care
what we eat because our minds are busy thinking of our day's problems, virtually all of us have
thought about studying, working and doing sport to follow our dreams. So, we do not have time
to care about what we eat and how many times we eat in a day since daily problems drag us out
of present moment.
Although food make us energetic, sometimes it makes us face health problems including
diabetes, stomach ache, hypertension, and obesity. Four years ago I did not care what I ate. I
studying for the bar exam in my country. It was a difficult exam, every morning until night I
went to library and studied for 10 hours. To save time for studying I ate fast food as in that time I
thought about success and nothing else. I have thought about this matter a lot. There were a great
number of participant in this exam and they competed with each other to pass this exam. Three
days a week for nine months I ate a piece of toast, chicken, tomato, and mustard for lunch.
Three month after that I started eating this food I felt pain in my body. It was horrible and
I could not sit on sofa or chair. As soon as I sat on a chair, I felt a lot of pain. I went to bar class
with difficulty since I had to sat on a chair for 12 hours. After two days I went to the doctor and I
found that it was a stomach ache, I have not had any problems like that before . He gave me a lot
of drugs. I used them for two months and I felt better but once I started to eat fast food again I
found that it did not cure at all.
One day I met one of my friends who works in herbal remedies shop. She told me she
had this problem before and she feels better now. Herbal remedy is a kind of remedy which you
use vegetables and fruits more than chicken and meat and it is forbidden to eat any fast food. I
tried to use vegetables and fruits. I ate baked vegetables for two months and I felt better than two
months earlier when I used drug. I did not eat any meat or chicken for two months and in a same
time I started to do yoga. It was one of the best experiences I ever had in my life. Eating baked
vegetables had far more advantages for me. One of the greatest benefit of it was my digestion
became well because before that during digestion I felt acid secretion in my body. Also, because
of doing yoga I felt that I am relaxed more and I did not feel any stressed. It helps me find peace
of mind and soothe myself. Once I have read an article on the net that said: fast food makes us to
tolerate stress and I really experienced it.
Now, I haven`t been cured completely yet but this experience causes that I changed my
mind about eating food. Because I do not want to have stomach ache anymore, I am trying my
best not to eat fast food as much I can. Now I live in the United States, although there are a great
many opportunities to improve in education and knowledge but it is the fast food country.
Although, technology makes life easier it does damage some part of our life. Nowadays,
we are witness of a great deal of new disease and most of them are for the food that people eat.
For lack of time during the day, a vast majority of people eat fast food, but as soon as I am not
healthy how I can earn money. Because predominantly all of the money that I earn goes to my
treatment. However, it is difficult to omit fast foods for me at all specially, the minute you walk
down to the street and the smell of fast food tempt you to buy just french fries.
First week of my life in the United States was very consuming because I was seventeen
hours on airplane and my sleeping system was changed. After that I had to go to school and
register for first semester. So I did not have time to cook for myself . Once, I went out to fast
food restaurant and ordered a pizza. As soon as, I arrived at home, my stomach ache was started.
It was very bad experience that I had in the US. After this experience, I promised to myself not
to eat fast food very much especially American pizza. Because it contains a lot of cheese which
is harmful for stomach. However, It is some how difficult to get rid of it, but it is noteworthy to
find a way to improve my life. Recently, I found farmers market near my house and I decide to
buy organic food more than non organic food. Although it is some how difficult to find farmers
market but it makes me stand in balance in front of the daily pressure.
As a master student, It is difficult for me to cook every day because of studying, doing
exercise and having class, but when I think about the problem that fast food creates to me I
decided to cook. Maybe at the first step of thinking about cooking it seems difficult, but when
you start to prepare ingredients to cook you understand how interesting it is. Also, it makes us
energetic and happy. When we connect to smell as well as the taste of food, our body's hormone
which makes us happy is secreted and makes us happy and peaceful. I think tasting a new food
always is an adventure try to enjoy your life.
