AccomplishmentsEmile became known as the “principle architect” of modern sociology. Also, during his lifetime, Emile gave many lectures and published many studies on things like education, crime, religion, suicide, and other aspects of society.
Contributions to SociologyMostly concerned about how society
can maintain their their integrity and coherence in this modern age. He looked mostly at social facts which are not bound to social actions. For example suicide is a social fact because no matter what the individual person does there will still be suicide in a society.
Contributions Cont.Durkheim wanted to make a method to sociology which would make it true to science. He thought observation must be as impartial and impersonal aspossilbe.
