    Short Biography

    Dr. Urachada Ketprom earned her Ph.D from University of Washington, Seattle, in 2005.

    In 1992 she received a scholarship from the Thai government to pursue a Ph.D.

    in Electromagnetic Fields and Waves Telecommunication and started her academic life in USA

    earning her BSEE from Northwestern University, Illinois and her MSEE from U. of Washington.

    Dr. Urachada started her professional life as a researcher at National Electronic Computer and

    Technology Center (NECTEC) from 2005-2011. She published many journals on RFID technology

    and patented on RFID algorithms and applications. In 2008, she worked on a project contracted

    by Bank of Thailand on ISO20022 Standard development and subsequently this project was

    transferred to be completed by a new public organization, ETDA, established in 2011.

    Currently, Dr. Urachada is a director of ICT Standard office at ETDA. Her responsibilities include

    planning and developing IT standards to promote electronic transactions in Thailand. She is

    actively working in many subcommittees tasked with developing national standards and also

    collaboratively working with international committee : Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation

    (AFACT) hosting a Plenary Meeting in November 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand.23/02/58
