To train and employ One Million

underprivileged youth through ‘Unnati model’

by the year 2020

VISION 2020

www.unnatiblr.org

SGBS Unnati Foundation, a Section 25 company has been incorporated to achieve Vision 2020 by:

- 300 centres across India

- 300 youth per centre per annum

VISION 2020

Page 11: Unnati presentation

SGBS Unnati Foundation (SUF)

• SUF proposes to establish Unnati Centers in different locations in India. Preference is to partner with a local NGO.

• In this model, SUF will “Manage and operate the Center”.

• The cost of training a youth under SUF model will be only Rs.6000/-.

In this model, hostel & food are not offered.

• For a typical centre with capacity to train 300 youth per year, the operating cost budget for the first year would be in the range of Rs 15 lakhs.

• The plan is to make the Centres self sustaining within a period of 3 years taking into account the subsidy from DGET, recovery from potential employers & a nominal fee from the youth.
