By the time you come to take your test you must have the following in place:
Your aircraft - for the mass category for which you
are applying
Insurance for your aircraft
2 hours flight in the previous 3 months

Brief
You have been asked to conduct an aerial shoot on location. You have a window of 60 minutes in which to complete the task from arriving on site to full completion of post flight procedures.
The customer (assessor) will be on site throughout. You can assume the customer has knowledge of the site and its surroundings and will answer any related questions to the best of their knowledge. Brief
The assessor will not deliberately lead you astray or ask you to fly in a way that might be illegal. If you are unhappy with a request, then take the required action and advise the assessor accordingly. YOU are the pilot in command.
The assessor may not assist you with the flight, aircraft controls or site assessment. The assessor will only intervene verbally should a real emergency occur.

Day so:
– You must complete Flight Planning Paperwork tonight for
your test the next day in the QRH
– Transfer as much information as you can to the Site
Assessment form in the QRH and complete in advance
tonight as well.
– Section 2 do on the day only, you cannot copy the
weather you have written the night before – turn up 30

Day 2 Homework (2) In addition, consider:
– Memorising your Emergency Procedures– Be ready to get to site, and begin the Test by preparing
your drone as soon as your time starts– Re-Read the Candidates Guide– You must unpack your drone, fly your drone, and pack
away your drone in accordance with some procedures and checklists. If you do not have your own, then you must use those in the QRH and verbally or physically refer to them during the day.
– Failure to do this will lead to a fail overall; if we cannot assess how well you have complied then it is impossible to judge how you might do this in real life.
