advised Pt Pertamina in the 2015 financing of the US$2.8 billion Donggi-Senoro liquefied natural gas (lnG) Project in indonesia, a rare downstream lnG project. the groundbreaking project was the first true project financing for an lnG project in indonesia.

Sale of APL Logistics

advised neptune orient lines limited, a Singapore-based company engaged in providing freight and transportation management, in the US$1.2 billion sale of its logistics business, aPl logistics ltd, to kintetsu World express, inc.

Tencent/NBA License Agreement

advised tencent Holdings limited, an internet and social media company, in acquiring exclusive internet rights to nBa games and content in china and the right to act as the nBa’s exclusive internet partner in china, responsible for the nBa’s china website and online community.

Sampoerna Rights Issue

advised Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, citi, credit Suisse and Mandiri Sekuritas as the joint global coordinators and bookrunners in Pt HM Sampoerna tbk’s US$1.4 billion rights issue. the deal was Southeast asia’s largest ever secondary placement and indonesia’s largest equity transaction of 2015.

Indigo Airlines IPO

advised the global coordinators and book running lead managers ion interGlobe aviation limited (indigo airlines)’s US$459.7 million indian initial public offering of 39,546,814 equity Shares listed on the national Stock exchange (nSe) and the Bombay Stock exchange (BSe).

the Singapore office has worked on a range of pro bono initiatives, including in relation to anti-human trafficking and human rights issues, nonprofits and nGos, intellectual property and licensing, corporate and regulatory and social entrepreneurship. We were recently honoured as a ‘leading Pro Bono law Firm’ by amcham cares 2016.

the office has partnered with trustlaw, Pro Bono Services office of the law Society of Singapore, and recent successes include:

• assisting Points of light, which mobilizes and coordinates volunteers around the world, on its incorporation and expansion into asia

• conducting research for the international child redress project to determine what recompense child victims of sexual exploitation have against their perpetrators in europe and north america

• advising Banyan Sustainable Waste Management Solutions, a social enterprise working to address environmental and health hazards associated with india’s waste, in connection with capital-raising activities

in addition to our pro bono work, we also contribute to a number of corporate social responsibility initiatives, which recently included house-cleaning and community assistance as part of operation Homeworks in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity and taking part in the firm’s annual “Spring challenge” program, where latham offices compete to accumulate the steps to raise money by pledging steps to nominated local and global charities.
