NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENTSBaheehir University Scholarships for African American, Native American and
Hispanic American Students:In recognition of the importance of fostering crosscultural dialogue, Baheehir University in Istanbul
offers African American, Native American and Hispanic Americanstudents scholarships covering all
tuition expenses.
Founded in 1998, Baheehir University is among the most dynamic institutions of higher education in
Turkey. Based in Istanbul, Baheehir with its dedicated faculty, internationally recognized research
and educational programs, study abroad opportunities and modern campus aims to secure a place
among the leading universities in the world.
In addition to the scholarships, the International Student Office at Baheehir will assist prospective
students in securing housing, which along with other living expenses (i.e. meals and public
transportation), is not expected to exceed $1,000 per month. Scholarships are subject to quotas and are
awarded on a firstcome, firstserved basis. Interested students are encouraged to apply through the
Turkish Coalition of America.
In addition to Baheehir Universitys generous offer, eligible students can receive a scholarship from
the Turkish Coalition of America of up to $2,000 per semester or academic year to assist with living
expenses while they study in one of the most exhilarating study abroad destinations in the world. To

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Comprehensive Scholarships for Native
American Students:In collaboration with TCA to promote educational exchanges between Turkey and Minority Serving
Institutions in the United States, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) provides 10 comprehensive (all
expenses paid) scholarships to Native American students per semester. Scholarships cover the cost of
tuition and lodging, as well as a monthly stipend to help offset the cost of meals and transportation.
ITU was established in 1773 to educate chart masters and ship builders. Throughout its history
stretching over 230 years, ITU has established some of Turkeys leading departments and modern
educational facilities while retaining traditional values. ITU continues to collaborate with its stronginternational contacts to mould young, talented individuals who can compete in the global arena.
In addition to ITUs generous offer, eligible students can receive a scholarship from the Turkish Coalition
of America.
