TEDI provides staff developmentin three basic modes1. Centrally run and generically pitched workshops on a

variety of topics in teaching, learning, career development,

curriculum design, leadership and skills development.

2. Workshops or other types of development collaborations

including (“situated” staff development) that are tailored

specifi cally to the immediate needs of staff in schools.

3. Online and face to face training and staff development on

eLearning and learning spaces including the use of the

Blackboard system and new and emerging technologies.

TEDI’s consultants work with individual teaching staff, schools,

faculties and committees to enhance the quality of teaching

and learning in the University and provide assistance to staff in

evaluation to help them to achieve this end. They can help staff

to address specifi c issues or opportunities and, in the process,

can help them to enhance the quality of their teaching and

students’ learning.

TEDI’s educational resource development team works with

UQ and external clients to design and develop pedagogically

sound, high quality educational resources in print and digital

media. Educational resource development is informed and

enriched by ongoing research, evaluation, consultation and

training. Our Multimedia Authoring Guidelines website provides

more detailed information about the educational multimedia

development process.

More information on these activities and services may be found
