University of Turbat achieved another milestone - 2nd Convocation 2019The University of Turbat (UoT) achieved another milestone by conducting its 2nd Convocation on 22nd April 2019 in Multipurpose Hall of University’s main campus Turbat. The Gov-ernor Balochistan/ Chancellor UoT Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai chaired the convocation ceremony, While the Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Information Zahoor Ahmed Buledi graced the ceremony as guest of honor.Addressing on the occasion the Governor Balochistan Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai said that the future of University of Turbat was very bright and the increasing trends of acquir-ing education in females in Mekran will provide strong base to the development process in this region. He said the present government was fully committed to support and strengthen the Higher Education Institutions in Balochistan. He said to the students ‘’your accomplishments should be source of pride for you, your university, your province, and indeed your country. It is a matter of great pleasure to see that Turbat University has been at the frontline in efforts to provide quality education and creating new vistas of knowledge for the people of region.” He further added that it was great achievement by University of Turbat to conduct its 2nd convocation in short period of time.

The Governor Balochistan awarded degrees to more than 300 graduating students including 7 M.Phil (Balochi). He also awarded gold medals to 22 position holders. Besides university’s faculty members, admin staff, deans, directors, chairpersons and UoT Senate members, the convocation ceremony was also attended by Senator Dr. Jahanzeb Jamaldini, Senator Kahuda Akram Dashti, former provincial minister Rahmat Saleh, political representatives, students and their parents, MPA Mahjabeen Sheeran, ex-senator Dr. Ismail Buledi, Dr. Badal Khan, Dr. Noor Baloch, Commissioner Makran Division Tariq Zehri, DC Kech Zeshan Sikandar, DPO kech Hussain Lehri. Waja Abul Hassan, Mir Hamal Baloch, Shai Nazeer Ahmed, Qazi Noor Ahmed, Haji Sher Mu-hammad Jusaki, Advocate Jadeen Dashti, Qasim Gajezai, educationists, Journalists and people from civil society. Congratulating the graduating students and their proud parents, Minister for Higher Education and Information Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said that he felt pride for being the part of this historical day of 2nd convocation of Turbat University. He said the CM Jam Kamal Khan led provincial government was paying special attention in promoting education in Balochistan.

Acknowledging untiring services of VC Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, faculty members and administrative staff, he said that renowned scholar Prof Dr Badal Khan and all political leaders of the region were committed to the de-velopment of Turbat University. He thanked Governor Balochistan on be-half of people of Turbat for gracing convocation ceremony and his interest in developing UoT. In his welcome speech VC Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said “it is a day of devotion to the education, day of revolution in bringing change in the lives of several graduates, a day of convocation to reward who deserve.” He said this day marked a sign of victory in the history of UoT achieved by the everlasting efforts made by the supremely qualified faculty members and committed administrative staff subsequently the Turbat Uni-versity earned a distinguished place in the country’s best growing universi-ties in short period of time. VC UoT meets Honorable Governor Balochistan/Chancellor UoT

IGFC Balochistan South Region visits University of Turbat

The Vice Chancellor University of Turbat Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has called upon Governor Baloch-istan/ Chancellor UoT HE Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on 8th May 2019 in Governor Secretariat Quetta. The VC UoT apprised him about academic and infrastructural development of the university, on-

going development projects and future plan of his institution. Governor Balochistan HE Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai said the province could be put on the path of economic progress and pros-perity through provision of modern and scientific knowledge to the youth. He said Higher education institutions play significant role in society’s development and building future of coming generations and University of Turbat is also fulfilling its due role in promoting quality education in far flung areas of the province.

The Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Balochistan South Region Major General Saeed Ahmed Nagra visited University of Turbat on 11th April 2019. The VC UOT Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir along with varsity’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Controller Examinations Tanveer Ahmed and other officials warmly welcomed the IGFC. During an interactive session with faculty members and students the IGFC highlighted the importance of peace and education in bringing development and prosperity in the country. The session was attended by the deans, directors, chairpersons, faculty members, administrative staff and students. Major General Saeed Ahmed Nagra appreciated the growth of the university in short time. Underlining the success story of the university the VC UOT said that his institution earned a distinguished place among the renowned universities of Pakistan due to the everlasting hard work of highly dedicated and qualified faculty members and sincere administrative staff.The Vice Chancellor presented shield and Balochi Chadir to the IGFC.The IGFC also planted a tree in the Greenland of the university.


Minister for Defense Production Ms Zubaida Jalal has said the federal government would work for development of higher education in Balochistan.Speaking at a ceremony held at the University of Turbat on 15th March 2019, the minister said concrete steps would be taken to preserve the cultural heritage of the province. Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Aon Abbas Buppi said that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal would take all possible steps to provide financial assistance to the talented and deserving students of UoT. VC Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir also thanked them for their keen interest in uplifting UoT. UoT’s Education Department Chairperson Mahnaz Aslam also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, a Memoran-dum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Turbat and the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. According to the memorandum signed by the VC UOT and the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal managing director, the Bait-ul-Mal will provide financial assistance to 50 talented and deserving students. Ms. Zubaida Jalal, Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor, Quality Enhancement Cell Director Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, Director Finance Rehmatullah, Gwadar Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed, director Pakistan Bait Ul Mal Balochistan Saeed Ahmed Qazi, Deputy Director Social Welfare Kech Qadeer Luqman, UoT’s Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, the focal persons for the prime minister’s laptop scheme Abdul Hakeem, focal person stu-dent financial aid office and the chairpersons of the university’s various teaching departments were also present at this occasion.The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal managing director also distributed cheques, sewing machines and wheel-chairs among deserving students, women and the differently abled persons while the federal min-ister and vice chancellor had distributed laptops among students under the PM’s Laptop Scheme.

The book launching ceremony of famous author Basheer Ahmed Baloch was held in UoT under the auspices of Institute of Balochi Language and Culture (IBLC) in collaboration with Balochi Labzanki Dewan on 5th March 2019. Chairperson Balochi Labzanki Dewan Quetta Yar Jan Badini and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean and Director IBLC Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch chaired the ceremony whereas UoT Registrar Ghulam Farooq, prominent writer and scholar Nimatullah Gichki, Ex-Director Culture Balochistan Abdullah Baloch, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ghafoor Shad shared their views regarding different aspects of the book titled “SABZEN-SAGAR”. Addressing on the occasion the speakers said that Basheer Baloch was a highly celebrated writer of his time. They said that “this is research based book in which the author covered about different happenings and events which oc-curred in the life of Baloch Legendary character Meer Kamber.

The 4th meeting of the Senate of University of Turbat (UoT) was held in Governor House Quetta on 8th April 2019. The meeting was presided over by the Governor Balochistan / Chancellor UoT HE Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai. The meeting was also attended by VC UoT Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq sabir, Principal Secretary to Governor Balochistan Naseebullah Khan Bazai, Secretary Higher Education GoB Abdul Saboor Kakar, Secretary Finance GoB Noorul-ul-Haq Baloch, Ex VC LUAWMS Dr Abdul Hameed Bajoi, Ex Principal Degree College Turbat Bashir Ahmed Baloch, Ex director col-leges GoB Prof Ghulam Rasool Khalid, UoB Faculty of Languages Dean Dr. Zenat Sana, UoT lectur-er Economics Department Samina Faqir, UoT lecture Management Sciences Department Mumtaz Ahmed, HEC’s DG at RC Quetta Ahmed Yahya Khan, UoT QEC director prof Dr. Gul Hassan, UoT registrar Ghulam Farooq, UoT’s DF Rehmatullah and UoT’s controller examinations Tanveer Ahmed. The matters related to establishment of a Sub Campus of UoT at Panjgur, approval of Annual Report 2018, revised budget 2018-19 and budget estimate F/Y 2019-20 along with actual statement of accounts for F/Y 2017-18, establishment of a state of art Model School in UoT and affiliation of the degree colleges in Mekran with UoT for B.A/B.Sc. and BS programs and starting Associate Degree Program were discussed and resolved during the meeting. Addressing to the meeting the Governor Balochistan HE Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai appreciated the achievements earned by UoT in short time. He has lauded the role of UoT in providing higher education facilities to the people of remote areas of the country. He said that higher educational institutions of the province will be equipped with modern technologies so that modern knowledge could be imparted to our students.

Education Department observes “International Day of Right to Education”

Federal Minister for Defense Production Ms Zubaida Jalal assured administrations of Turbat Univer-sity that government would take concrete steps to address their problems and the central govern-ment has been taking earnest measure for the development of Balochistan and Gwadar Ship Yard that would be source of prosperity for the people of Makran and rest of Balochistan.Addressing a ceremony in UOT organized by Education Department on 28th January 2019 held to mark International Day of Right to Education, Federal Minister said “Completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Shipyard will open a lot of employment opportunities to students including male and female of rural areas of Balochistan including Gwadar, Turbat and other areas. Speaking at the occasion, Faculty of Social Sciences Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, QEC Director Prof Dr. Gul Hassan and Chairperson Education Department Mahnaz Aslam acknowledged the services of teachers of public and private schools in promoting education across Mekran Di-vision. The Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister distributed shields among teachers on their best performances at the end of programme.


In order to enhance academic profile of the in-stitution the Syndicate of University of Turbat (UoT) took several significant decisions regarding affiliation of BS/Associate Degree programs of the colleges of this region to UOT, establishing a sub campus at Panjgur, university’s annual report 2018 and confirmation of the minutes of the meetings held previously like Academic Council, Finance and Planning Committee, Selection Board and Selec-tion Committee. The syndicate also approved to

start classes in Panjgur campus soon after releasing of funds from provincial government.The 8th meeting of the Syndicate held on 8th March 2019 at UoT committee room, was chaired by VC Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. VC informed the syndicate that the sub campus of the university at Gwadar had been transformed into a full-fledged university. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Professor from LUAWMS, Senior Advocate Mehrab Khan Gichki, UoT registrar Ghulam Farooq Baloch, faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor, QEC director Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, controller examinations Tanvir Ahmed and director finance Rehmatullah.

Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) has taken the initiative of con-ducting lecture sessions on various contemporary themes. Dr. Naeemullah Khan, Assistant Professor Chemistry department delivered the lecture with the title “Plagiarism; Ethics and Research” on 15th February 2019.Session

was attended by sixty seven (67) participants including faculty and students. At the end of the session, Director ORIC, Dr. Adeel Ahmed thanked speaker and participants of the session and said that keeping in view the demand of faculty and students, ORIC will continue to organize workshops on research, entrepreneurship and other modern topics on regular interval. The ORIC also organized lecture session on “RESEARCN PROPOSAL WRITING” held on 21st February 2019. Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Assistant Professor Management Science department shared his views and experience on the topic. Session was attended by fifty nine (59) participants including faculty and students.

The 9th meeting of Finance and Planning Committee of the University of Turbat (UoT) chaired by the VC Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir on 28th February 2019 approved a proposal to set up a Sub Campus in Panjgur. The VC Dr. Sabir lauded the institution for its commitment to financial excellence and good governance. He said that his institution would never compromise over transparency in utilizing public funds for promotion of higher education in the region. Besides ap-proving different academic and development projects the committee also accorded approval to the university’s re-

vised budget estimates for the current financial year 2018-2019 and finalized budget estimates for the 2019-2020. Earlier the UoT Director Finance Rehmatullah briefed the meeting regarding agenda items of the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the UoT Registrar Ghulam Farooq Baloch, Director QEC Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, LUAWMS Professor Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, Dean Research Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Assistant Professor Abdul Qayyum, and Engineer Kamal Muhsin.

University of Turbat’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that his in-stitution was committed to promote quality edu-cation among the youths of this region enabling them to compete in all spheres of life at nation-al and international level and his institution had achieved considerable triumphs in short time. He said this while presiding over the 9th meeting of UoT’s Academic Council held in committee room of the university on February 7, 2019. The meeting

was also attended by UoT’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Humanities and Social Sciences Dean prof Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Dean Research Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Controller Examinations Tanvir Ahmed, faculty member Dr. Naeem-Ullah, Chairpersons of different teaching departments, representatives of affiliated colleges and other officials. VC said that UoT campus at Gwadar has been transformed into a full-fledged university, now they have planned to setup university’s second campus at Panjgur very soon, for which the proposal has been sent to the provincial government for approval. Besides approving the courses of different programs of study, the council also considered and recommend-ed the proposal for affiliation of the entire degree colleges in the region with UOT for B.S programs. The body also recommended to award M.Phil. Degree to around 13 scholars from IBLC. The meeting expressed their satisfaction that due to considerable achievements the UOT had earned a distin-guished place in the lane of good universities of the country in short time which speak volumes of the tireless efforts made by the faculty members andadministrative staff of UoT.

The seventh meeting of Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) held on 28th January 2019 at University of Turbat. UoT’s Vice Chan-cellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by UoT’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Social Science Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor, Dean Faculty of Law Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, Dean Research Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Controller Examinations Tanvir Ahmed, In-charge Education Department Mahnaz Aslam, Dr. Naeemullah and Dr. Ghafoor Shad. The meet-ing discussed and resolved the matter related to thesis and viva voice reports of the the M.Phil Scholars of IBLC. The meeting also resolved the requests for time extension submitted by the re-search scholars.

VC UoT for planting more trees in university

The Vice chancellor University of Tur-bat (UoT) Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that planting trees in good number is the only solution to con-trol drastic climate change through air pollution in our environment. He was speaking at an occasion of 2nd phase of tree plantation campaign launched

by Green UoT Team in University on 22nd January 2019. Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman, Chemistry Department faculty member Dr. Naeem-Ul-Haq and In-charge Plantation Campaign Muzzafar Baloch also shared their views at the occasion and encouraged the students and civil society for planting more trees in UoT and their locality. Meanwhile Management Sciences faculty member and dean research Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Political Science department Chairperson Changiz Ahmed, other faculty members and stu-dents along with Vice Chancellor devoted their day in planting different kinds of trees at various places of university for the beautification and purification of their instituttion.

SMEDA Balochistan organized One Day Training Workshop at UoT

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) Balochistan in collaboration with the Office of Research and Commercialization (ORIC) has organized a One Day training Workshop on “Entrepreneurship as a viable career option” in both campuses of Turbat University at Turbat and Gwadar on 29th and 30th of January 2019 respectively. While inaugurating workshop at main campus VC UoT prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that his institution had planned to expand its links with industries and companies in public and private sector through ORIC for the promotion of concept of entrepreneurship among the students. He thanked SMEDA provincial chief and his team for conducting such training workshop in its both campuses at Turbat and Gwadar for the capacity building of students. Director ORIC Dr. Adeel Ahmed said such workshop was beneficial for bringing an attitudinal change in participants and improving their personal entrepreneurial skills. The re-source persons of the training workshop famous entrepreneur and Private Development Consultant Mr. Abdul Qayyum and SMEDA regional coordinator Mr. Fahad Baloch informed the participants regarding various competencies to become a successful entrepreneur. The inaugural session at main campus Turbat was also attended by registrar UoT Ghulam Farooq, Chairpersons and heads of vari-ous academic and administrative departments, faculty members and students.

Education Department organized Arts, Craft and Calligraphy Exhibition

The UoT’s Education Department organized a One-Day Art, Craft and Calligraphy Exhibition at exhi-bition Hall on 5th April, 2019, in which the students of B.Ed. (Hons) showcased their talent and artistic work. Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch along with Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman and Chairperson Education Department Ms. Shahnaz Aslam inaugurated the event. The opening ceremony was also attended by UoT Gwadar Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed, Dy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, PSO to VC Meer Bahad, faculty members and administrative staff. While addressing in opening ceremony Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor appreciated the creativity and artistic work of the students. He said that the Ex-hibition revealed the hidden talent and creativity of the students in which the students had given aperture to their imagination for showing versatile themes by using recycled materials artistically.

On the invitation of President Asia-Pacific Association for International Education and Dr. Wahid bin Omer Vice Chancellor University of Technology Kula Lumpur Malaysia, the University of Turbat Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir visited Kula Lumpur and Singapore from 25-29 March 2019. He attended three days International Conference on “Asia Pacific Associations for International Education 14th Conference and Exhibition” held in University of Technology Kula Lumpur and Kula Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC). The VC UoT also actively participated APAIE 2019 Presi-dent Roundtable Conference on March 27, 2019 at University of Technology Malaysia Kula Lumpur. Besides launching joint research publication platform Dr. Sabir also discussed the possibilities for mutual cooperation and to start exchange program of faculty with the VC s of various Malaysian and other Asia Pacific Universities. VC UoT also visited National University Singapore (NUS) and discussed various matters of mutual interest with NUS authorities. The VC UoT on invitation of Hollings Centre also attended five days South Asia Higher Education Symposium on “new Regional Approaches” on April, 23-28 2019 at Istanbul Turkey.

A Meeting of VCs in UoB was held on 27 May, 2019 between the VCs of public sector universities in Balochistan and Provincial Minister Zahoor Buledi at UOB to discuss university’s financial issues. Zahoor Buledi has said, Balochistan govt will make utmost efforts to resolve the financial & other issues of all public sector universities by establishing university finance commission, providing scholarships to MS/PhD scholars and an immediate bailout package.

Internationally reputed Scientist Dr. Yar Jan Baloch, a Senior Research Scientist and Teaching Fellow at Graphene Centre Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, delivered lecture on cooling in space, sounding rockets, global warming and creating sensing in robots. Dr. Yar Jan said it was nothing but the education and hardworking that uplifted him at this place and given him an international repute. He had also earned many inter-national award. His invention on cooling devices in Space has been covered by international media. In his welcome address, Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman thanked Dr. Yar Jan Baloch and appreciated his ef-

forts for being the first space scientist from Pakistan. At the end Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan on behalf of UoT Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir presented honorary shield to Dr. Yarjan and thanked him for visiting UoT and delivering an informative and inspira-tional lecture to students.

Five Day Training Workshop on ELE held in UoT

Department of English University of Turbat (UoT) in collaboration with Higher Education Commis-sion (HEC) organized a five day training workshop on “English Language Essentials (ELE)” at main campus Turbat from 28th January to 1st February 2019. The faculty members from university’s main campus Turbat, Gwadar campus and affiliated colleges participated in the workshop as trainee. Ad-dressing during closing ceremony the VC UoT Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir thanked HEC director training Ghulam Nabi, resource person Dr. Bushra for their contributions in the training workshop.Addressing at the occasion the chief guest Ghulam Nabi assured his full support in conducting train-ing workshops for the capacity building of the newly inducted faculty members of UoT. Dr. Bushra was on opinion that the faculty members in UoT are second to none. Training coordinator Mr. Adil Khan shared an overview of five days training workshop. The closing ceremony was also attended by Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Arts and Social Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, QEC director Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan, Dean Sciences Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman, Controller Examinations Tanvir Ahmed, ORIC Director Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Chairpersons of various departments and senior faculty members.


HEC granted approval to UoT for MS/M.Phil Program in Business Administration

A Cheque Distribution Ceremony of Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) was held at Uni-versity of Turbat (UoT) on 4th April, 2019. The UoT’s VC Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir graced the cer-emony as chief guest where he distributed the cheques among 35 talented and deserving students.The ceremony was also attended by Director UoT Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, Chairman Economics Department Abdul Qayyum, Assistant Professor Naeemullah, Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, faculty members and students. Speaking on the occasion, the VC thanked government of Baloch-istan, Chairman and Chief Executive of BEEF for providing scholarships to the talented and deserving students of his institution for pursuing higher education. The VC underlined the importance of edu-cation as a source of quality and social justice in the world. Dr. Sabir further added that a Student Financial Aid Office was established in UoT in order to find out the scholarship opportunities for the students of the university. Speaking on this occasion, In-charge Students Financial Aid Office Abdul Jabbar and In-charge Scholarships in UoT Gwadar Campus Ms. Durjan Gichki gave comprehensive insight on working and process of BEEF.

He was speak-ing at a ceremony of cheque distribution under Scottish British Scholarship Scheme held in the committee room here on 15th May, 2019. Extending his thanks to the British Council for providing financial assis-tance and scholarships for the female stu-dents of UoT Ghulam Farooq said that in the leadership of the varsity’s vice chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, the faculty members and the administration of the UoT will leave no stone unturned for the promotion of quality education in this far flung area of the country. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) approved the commencement of MS/M.Phil. degree program in Management Sciences department in Universi-ty of Turbat (UoT). According to a handout issued by UoT that HEC has issued an NOC to University saying that department of Management Sciences meets the HEC criteria for running MS/M.Phil. program in Business Administration. On this great achievement the University’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Raz-zaq Sabir appreciated the collective and tireless efforts taken by Department Chairperson Dr. Wasim Barkat, QEC Director Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, ORIC Director Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean Research Dr. Riaz Ahmed, university registrar Ghulam Farooq Baloch and faculty members of the department.

Governor Balochistan HE Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on April 3, 2019 paid visit to the Uni-versity of Turbat (UoT) where besides inaugurating University Model School and Multipurpose Hall he also planted a tree in the Greenland of the lawn of Management Sciences Department. He pledged his full support in order to address the issues of UoT. Being the chancellor of the university he conducted direct interaction with faculty members to listen and address the issues related to UoT. Replying various queries the Governor Balochistan lauded the performance of UoT and said, “I envision UoT as one of the best university in Pakistan in the year to come and I am pleased to see this institution has achieved many milestones in few years since its establishment where not only the students from Mekran division but students from all over Balochistan are keen to take admission in this rapidly growing university.” Principal Secretary to Governor Naseebullah Bazai, ADC to Gov-ernor Major Gohar Khatak, registrar Ghulam Farooq, faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean prof Dr. Abdul Saboor, QEC director Prof Dr. Gul Hassan, dean research Dr. Riaz Ahmed, director ORIC Dr. Adeel Ahmed, controller examinations Tanveer Ahmed, Commissioner Mekran division Tariq Zehri, deputy commissioner Kech Zeshan Sikindar, director Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, , deputy registrar Ganguzar Baloch, heads of teaching and administrative department and faculty members were present at this occasion. milestones in short span due to the teamwork efforts of faculty members, administrative staff and with the cooperation of HEC, Federal and Provincial government, students and parents. Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai also distributed laptops among the students under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. Meanwhile VC UoT presented a souvenir to the Chancellor. Governor Balochistan also visited department of Law and Mekran Medical College. Min-ister for Information and Higher Education Zahoor Ahmed Buledi was also present at this occasion.
