Proposed definitions for grades assigned in Agricultural Economics courses:

Grade A Represents exceptionally high achievement as a result of aptitude, effort, andintellectual initiative.

Grade B Represents greater than satisfactory achievement as a result of ability and effort.

Grade C A grade of C represents satisfactory achievement of knowledge/performance skillsin the subject matter to pursue competently the next level of course work or toutilize effectively the subject matter in relevant societal roles.

Grade D A grade of D indicates unsatisfactory achievement of knowledge/performance inrequired courses within the major and will not give credit for graduation. Thegrade indicates the student is not competent to pursue the next level of coursework or to utilize effectively the subject matter in relevant societal roles. Forother elective departmental courses, a grade of D indicates minimal acceptableachievement of knowledge/performance skills.

Grade E Unsatisfactory performance and indicates failure in the course.
