1. Greeting, leaving and introducing people. 2. Recognizing the importance of speaking English. 3. Distinguishing among dates. 4. Asking for and giving information. 5. Responding physically to commands.

Activity 1

Song: How are you? Function: Learning to greet other people Content: Expressions: hello! How are you? I’m fine…and you? Seating arrangement: C Skills: L/S MI: Inter, B, VL, VS Time: 10’ Materials: handout 1, tape recorder Procedure:

1. Have the students sit in a semi-circle 2. Give the students the material 3. Have the students listen the song and recognize the greetings.

Activity 2

Classroom Rules! Function: acquiring vocabulary of classroom rules or commands for students to respond physically to them Content: sit down, be quiet, listen carefully, be polite, be fair, take turns, be courteous, always say please and thank you…among others.
