ASTM E4, ISO 7500-1, DIN5122, EN 10002-1, EN 10002-2 Application A Universal Testing Machine (UTM) is used to test both the tensile and compressive strength of materials. Universal Testing Machines are named as such because they can perform many different varieties of tests on an equally diverse range of materials, components, and structures. Most UTM models are modular, and can be adapted to fit the customer’s needs. Universal Testing Machines can accommodate many kinds of materials, ranging from hard samples, such as metals and concrete, to flexible samples, such as rubber and textiles. This diversity makes the Universal Testing Machine equally applicable to virtually any manufacturing industry. The UTM is a versatile and valuable piece of testing equipment that can evaluate materials properties such as tensile strength, elasticity, compression, yield strength, elastic and plastic deformation, bend compression, and strain hardening. Different models of Universal Testing Machines have different load capacities, some as low as 5 kN and others as high as 2,000 kN. Tests can also be performed in controlled environmental conditions. This is achieved by placing the Universal Testing Machine into an environmental room or chamber. For example, metals testing can be conducted at extreme temperatures: from -196°C (-321°F) to over 1000°C (1800°F). ApplicationA Universal Testing Machine (UTM) is used to test both the tensile and compressive strength of materials.

Torontech’s TT300 electromechanical testing machines offers force, displacement or deformation closed loop testing in tension. The machine can be equipped with a variety of accessories including: grips, fixtures, compression frames, thermal cabinets and extensometers covering all relevant applications as testing of rubber, plastics, foils, films, textiles, adhesives, paper, foods, foams, timber, wires or other metallic or non-metallic specimens and medical, electronic and other components. The load frames are rigid constructed, providing superior axial and lateral stiffness.

Electro Mechanical Servo-Controlled (Closed-loop) Drive System offers a powerful servo system for closed-loop control, the drive system consists of a rugged steel casting with a dual-belt drive system, the dual-belt system provides synchronous movement of the ball screws, eliminating crosshead tilt and aiding system alignment.Testing parameters of tension, compression, bend, flexure, and shear testing which in accord with the relative requirements of ISO, ASTM, DIN, NF, EN and many other national testing methods. Interchange-able fixture design to meet requirements of different specimen materials and test type.

Features

Extensive range of accessories to meet test requirements in almost any application or industry: plastics, metals, biomedical, composites, elastomers, components, automotive, aerospace, textiles, and more. Double acting crossbeam quickly accommodates specimens of varying lengths. In the case of additional length of columns, the maximum testing space is adjustable to meet extra length specimens. High accuracy load cell with strong anti-side force and high measurement accuracy as well as long-term stability.

Preloaded ball screws, precision guidance columns, and a symmetrical drive system improve frame stiffness and alignment. Dual over-travel limits, located on the front console, help prevent crosshead overshooting and sensor overloads. A graduated rule along the column can be used to preset these limits to specific distances.

This program is complete with graphic interface for:

• Selection of communication language

• Setting of test methods

• Test execution

• Analysis of the results

• Printing of the certificates

• Graphic post-analysis of the tests

• Statistical analysis of the tests

The structure of the software is very flexible giving the possibility to personalize the

tests, process the results and certificates, and in particular it is possible to:

• Create custom tests

• Customise the certificate

• Print certificate with Company logo

• Print certificates anytime in future, as a single test as well as summarizing certificate

• Analyse a test anytime in the future.

ToronSOFT Control Software: ToronSOFT is the software used to control the Universal testing machine. The Tester and the software are designed to accommodate a wide variety of testing needs. The software has a variety of preset programmed test cycles for compression, tensile and cyclical testing to meet a variety of testing standards.

A powerful Help wizard helps the operator to set up and connect the accessories in many phases.

Includes installed packages of various test methods according to major National & International reference Standards and different types of material to perform the following tests:
