FACTORS TO CONSIDERResistance• Rodenticide resistance has mainly occurred within the first-generation

anticoagulants• If resistance is suspected after repeated treatment failure while using

a first-generation anticoagulant, switch to a second-generation anticoagulant or non-anticoagulant.

Secondary Poisoning• If secondary poisoning of domestic animals and wildlife is of primary

concern, choose non-anticoagulants or first-generation anticoagulants.

Accidental Poisoning• There are no antidotes for bromethalin and cholecalciferol

Organic• Cholecalciferol is the only rodenticide permitted in certified organic

facilities and falls within the guidelines of the National Organic Program.
