First, president of SPIE Chapter of SCU Chen Zhang made a report about the structure of
their chapter. The introduction let members from other chapters have a simple
understanding about their members and jobs. Then, she gave a introduction about
activities that had already been held by their chapter. SPIE Chapter of SCU has a history of
8 years so the amount of activities and meeting held by them is so big.
Then, president of SPIE Chapter of UESTC Yang Pu introduced the relevant situation about
our chapter. SPIE Chapter of UESTC was established in 2014, and the constitute of
membership and the structure of cadre’s duties are different from SCU’s chapter as a
consequence of UESTC’s unique characteristic. Due to the history of us is short, we haven’t
held as many activities as SCU’s chapter, but the quality of our activities is very high.
Especially for the Founding Conference and BOE’s Open-Day.
The third one came to the stage is Zhuoyun Jiang, the president of SPIE Chapter of CDUT.
She also did a excellent explanation about their chapter. She told us that the research
direction of their school is different from UESTC and SCU’s, but the relevant activities they
had done were as good as ours.
After the reports given by three presidents, members from different schools had a
sufficient communication about later activities we are preparing to hold. The meeting
successfully helped the three chapters to establish a long-time friendship.
