I should have been there on time but I was late because I missed my usual bus. My wife had already left for work and I couldn’t leave Meimei alone.

I decided to ask my neighbor to take care of her. Mrs. Li is retired and home all day and she was happy to help. I missed my bus and had to walk to the subway station. I only got there at 8:15! The subway is 5 minutes faster than the bus but I was already late.
