Romanesque at was the style of feudal Kmes. It developed between the middle of the eleventh century and the middle of the twelQh century .
Its characterisKcs are common all across Europe, so it can be considered as The first example of an internaKonal arKsKc movement .
This was made possible because it was spread by the Church, in parKcular the BenediciKne order which adopted this style for its original monastery In Cluny( France) and then reproduced it in the monasteries that were founded across Europe
