NONRENEWABLE RESOURCES
A nonrenewable resource is a natural resource that cannot be re-made or re-grown at a scale comparable to its consumption.
NUCLEAR ENERGYNuclear fission uses uranium to create energy.
Nuclear energy is a nonrenewable resource because once the uranium is
used, it is gone!
COAL, PETROLEUM, AND GASCoal, petroleum, and natural gas are considered nonrenewable
because they can not be replenished in a short period of
time. These are called fossil fuels.

6. What countries currently use this source? What percentage is used in the United States?
7. How is this energy source currently used? For example: At farms, in industry etc. Could this source be used in a family home?

water through filtering and disinfection. Most of the city’s reclaimed water is used for agricultural irrigation, landscaping, dust control, and recharging the aquifer. About 3.2 million gallons per day are reused.
