beaches and natural beauty. Sailing

in this tropical paradise allows for

opportunities to explore ancient

temples and ruins, wild jungles and vibrant cities alike. Not

to mention the diving and snorkeling in this region, which is

known to be some of the best in the world.

November through April, Star Clippersouthbound sailings out of Phuket, visiting worthy ports

of call in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Highlights

include sailing into the famous Patong Bay with its sheer

limestone crags and crystal clear blue water, visiting iconic

“James Bond Island” in Phang Nga Bay and exploring

Langkawi in Malaysia, an area known for its abundantly

populated wildlife, rainforests, and a chance encounter with

mischievous monkeys. On our 7- to 14- night itineraries, take

in Singapore’s famed cuisine from food and market stalls or

trendy eateries and bistros.

In May, Star Clipper heads to exotic Borneo for two new

itineraries to bookend the summer season: 10- and 11-night

sailings between Singapore and Kota Kinabalu, the capital of

Malaysia’s Sabah state in the northern part of the island of

Borneo. In Kota Kinabalu—or KK as the locals call it—wander

through the bustling markets and modern boardwalks, or

check out the budding arts and music scene. The city also

serves as the gateway to Kinabalu National Park where

Mount Kinabalu stands at 13,400 feet, Malaysia’s tallest peak

and a mecca for climbers. Other highlights include Bandar

Seri Begawan, home to the world’s largest water village, and

a visit to the breathtaking, uninhabited island of Pulau Tiga.

Star Clipper starts a full season of exploring Indonesia - the

“Emerald of the Equator” - in June, after a 14- night sailing

crossing from Singapore to the spice island of Bali. The

season, with options ranging between 7- and 11- nights, have

a variety of itineraries exploring the islands of the Indonesian

archipelago. These voyages provide a vibrant mix of culture

and natural beauty including the dramatic volcanic scenery

at Mount Bromo, the crater lake of Satonda, Borobudur

Temple at Semarang, Retenggaro village on Sumba Island,

the dragons of Komodo and the beautiful corals and sandy

beaches of the Gili Islands.

BACK-TO-BACK SAVINGSIf you wish to sail 1 or more consecutive cruises, the second (and more consecutive) cruises will be reduced by 5%. This saving is combinable with Advance Purchase Rate and is valid for all categories except guaranteed single. Back-to-back savings will not apply to third passenger and children rates.

CHILDREN’S RATESChildren’s savings may be available for children under 18 years, when traveling with a full-paying adult on certain selected sailings and subject to space availability. For more information, please request information from your Travel Professional at time of booking.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENTTo secure your reservation, a deposit of $400 per person per booked sailing is required within a 3-day option period. This option period is less within a 90-day departure. Final payment is required 90 days prior to departure. All payments may be made by either Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card or American Express. Only cashier’s check or credit card is accepted

on bookings made within two weeks of sailing. Please make checks payable to Star Clippers Americas. All reservations are subject to cancellation if

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDSFor full refund of cruise fare, notice of cancellation must be in writing and received by Star Clippers Americas no later than one-hundred twenty (120) days prior to sailing. If a cancellation occurs, the following charges will be assessed:

• 119-90 days prior to departure = $400 per person • 89-60 days prior to departure = 50% of cruise fare • 59-30 days prior to departure = 75% of cruise fare • 29 days or less prior to departure = No refund

Refunds will normally be made to the booking party. Star Clippers Americas can only be responsible for refunding amounts actually received. If cancellation fees are charged by air carriers, pre/post hotels or suppliers, they will be deducted from any refund made. Passengers who do not board the ship will only receive refunds of unused port charges, pre-paid tips and pre-paid onboard credits if applicable, all other monies will be retained by Star Clippers.

RIGHTS RESERVED & LIMITS OF LIABILITYThe transportation of passengers and baggage is governed by the terms and conditions of the Contract of Carriage contained in the cruise ticket. The passenger’s acceptance of the ticket contract and acceptance of passage on the vessel constitutes acceptance of the terms, conditions and information contained in this document and the cruise ticket. It is recommended that you read the terms carefully. Star Clippers, Ltd. reserves the right at its sole option and discretion and that of the Captain of the ship without liability for damages or refund of any kind to deviate from the ship’s advertised or ordinary itinerary or route, to delay, advance or cancel any sailing, to omit or change ports of call and may, but is not obliged to, arrange for substantially equivalent transportation by another vessel and/or by other means of transportation, to cause the passenger to disembark from the ship temporarily or permanently, to tow or to be towed or assist other vessels, or to perform any similar act which, in its sole judgement and discretion, is

any reason whatsoever cancel any sailing at any time before departure of the ship including the event of a full-ship charter. In such events, Star Clippers’ only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the cruise ticket.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR/LIMIT OF LIABILITYStar Clippers, Ltd.’s liability and responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel; any arrangements made by or for passengers either before boarding or when disembarking are at the passenger’s own risk. Neither Star Clippers Americas nor Star Clippers, Ltd. owns or controls any airlines, ground transportation or hotels. As a convenience to our passengers, Star Clippers Americas may sell tickets for shore excursions or arrange other services which are operated by independent contractors, but neither Star Clippers, Ltd. nor Star Clippers Americas shall be responsible in any way whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury or death arising in conjunction with the services provided by these independent contractors.

FUEL SURCHARGE

Clippers reserves the right to impose a fuel surcharge, without prior notice, on all guests if the price of Oil according to the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) exceeds USD $80 per barrel of oil. The fuel surcharge for guests should not be more than $10 per guest per day. No right of cancellation exists under any circumstance due to the charging of fuel surcharges.

ADMINISTRATIVE FEECertain changes made to a reservation within 60 days of departure will result in a fee of $50 per person. In addition, any costs incurred for changes in land and/or air arrangements will be the responsibility of the passenger. Upgrade requests made prior to boarding the ship will not be assessed the change fees, only the balance of the full cruise fare for the category selected for the upgrade. This does not apply to changes in sailing date if penalties have already been incurred. Sailing dates cannot be changed within the penalty period.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGESGuests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages for consumption onboard the ship. Alcoholic beverages purchased in ports of call will be retained and returned at the end of the voyage.

CABIN INFORMATION

CHILDRENChildren are welcome on Star Clippers vessels. While there is no structured program providing supervision and care for young children, they are invited to participate in shipboard activities suited to their ability. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children occupying cabins as the third person will be charged the third person rate when availability permits.

COMMUNICATIONSTELEPHONE: Cabins are equipped with a direct dial telephone that passengers can use while at sea. On Royal Clipper, all calls will be billed to their onboard account. On Star Clipper and Star Flyer a credit card may be used directly. Should someone wish to contact a passenger at sea, they

forwarded to the ship.

INTERNET & WIFI: E-mail and internet services are available onboard wherever technically possible (depending on Satellite connections). Wi-Fi access is available in certain areas onboard and internet is available on computers in our library. Internet access can be purchased from your Wi-Fi device or on the library computers. Internet & Wi-Fi cards are sold in the Sloop Shop.

DININGThere are no pre-set seating arrangements, so you may sit where you wish. Attire is a matter of your own personal good taste, but shorts and t-shirts are not to be worn for dinner. In the evening, gentlemen should wear long trousers, shirts with collars and sleeves: jackets are optional. Menus will feature international cuisine and some local specialties: your catering steward will be happy to recommend a wine from our wine list to complement your meal. Room service available on Royal Clipper (suite & Deluxe only).

EMBARKATIONDuring embarkation, all passengers must have in his/her possession a cruise ticket, valid passport, and visas (where necessary). Embarkation times are included in cruise documents (generally four hours prior to departure time). Passengers must be aboard the ship no later than one hour prior to sailing. If all passengers are onboard prior to the scheduled departure time, the ship may sail early.

GRATUITIESGratuities onboard the ship are not included in cruise rates and are at the sole discretion of each guest based on the level of services performed. However, we are often asked by our guests for guidance regarding gratuities, and we suggest gratuities of 8 Euros per guest per day. Guests may pre-pay the

SMOKING POLICYPlease note that smoking is not allowed inside the ship or on the aft deck. However, there are designated smoking areas in the Tropical Bar and on the Sun Deck.

In the evening, sun dresses, skirts, or slacks for women and slacks with polo or dress shirts for men are recommended. Jackets are not required. Shorts or t-shirts are not to be worn in the dining room in the evening.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSAll passengers are required to have valid passports (passports must be valid for a minimum of six months after disembarkation). Visas may be required for certain ports visited. Without the proper entry requirements, passengers may not be able to disembark in certain ports of call. All travel documents such as passports, visas, proof of citizenship, etc., is required for disembarkation at various ports of call, are the sole responsibility of the passenger. Consult your consulate to determine document requirements or entry permits. Passengers will not be permitted to sail without proper documentation and no refund of cruise fare will be given to any passenger failing to bring such documentation. Please note that passengers’ names must be exactly as they appear on their passport.
