purpose of making recruited student-athletes’
experiences more seamless.
Measurable Goals
• Develop strategies or structures for communicating about basic business
operations, departmental changes, opportunities and innovations;
• Recommend streamlined ways of communicating with and about recruited
student-athletes;
• Recommend improved or ceased use of the coaches’ student-athlete rating
system;
• Recommend collaborative strategies for using Slate as a tool for recruiting
student-athletes.
• Recommend strategies for the communications/marketing plan of each
department to complement each other.
• Recommend strategies for the best use of human and financial resources to
take advantage of new MWC recruiting rules.
Objectives
• Use data, whenever possible, to examine assertions and
impressions.
• Participants should seek input from the broader staff on
every issue discussed by the task force and are expected to
regularly keep the staff apprised of the team’s progress.
• Explore and inform recommendations using best practices
achieved at peer institutions.
• Focus on creating efficiencies and consistency where ever
possible, avoiding a ‘we’re all unique’ mentality.
